Yeah, I don't buy it. I'm not even bashing the guy... I just think he's full of shit.

Slash isn't some stupid, innocent little child. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing, and was fully aware of it. He was there to shake it up. From everything i've read, i've always gotten the impression from Slash they he thought there was no way in hell that Axl could go on without them, and wouldn't, and Axl did anyways. This was Slash's "i'll show him..." moment. So I don't buy his story at all, and never have.

As for Axl, I don't really doubt him, I doubt more of the story he was given by his people. Slash was there to stir shit imo, sure, but the whole thing with the guitar and where Slash was at, I think became misconstrued in relay to Axl.

I still think it's extremely paranoid on Axl's part that he believed Slash would show up on stage with his guitar. How? It sounds like a nightmare, but the guy is living it. That's why his bands will always fall apart. And his career and life, too.

i thought that goldstein had kicked Slash out of the venue without telling Axl? or is that just a rumor like the rest of it?

i personally didn't find Axl's transcripts all that revealing, I got more info out of Tommy's and Brain's interviews recently....Axl's "revelations" only confused me further...

Same here. Way too much ancient history for my tastes. All that stuff would have been interesting and more relevant had he brought it up in the late 90s. Hopefully he realizes that the fans who stuck around are interested in the 98-08 period, and are less interested in that 94-96 fiasco. When he does his next interview, hopefully it revolves around things a bit more recent. There is tons of info we don't know about CD.
