Re: Stinson Vents at Del James During Dublin Concert
Problem right now is GNR are in the spotlight due to Reading, the media is watching out, waiting to be outraged by GNR's next late start. So therefore the start time is under the microscope even more by those at the gig. I'm not a big fan of the late starts but to be honest a 10.26 start really isn't all that bad and I wonder if the reaction last night wasn't all the worse for the shit storm in the media surrounding GNR over the weekend.
it definitely was. it was all people were talking about before the gig, except for if slash was in the band or not(!). & it was so full of shit, it was all "i heard this..." & then "well, i heard..." & it was like a competition to see who knew the most ridiculous sory about leeds/reading. & of course that inevitably leads to people saying "well if he does that here..."
me i thought it was funny at the time because it's so typical. & i genuinely didn't think the bottle situation wasn't exactly THAT bad.. but there you go.

I was fairly drunk but there was definitly still a huge crowd. When they came back on it was way harder get to the front than when they started.
These were taken just a few mins before they came back on.
and these were taken near the end of the show.

Yep you're right it's said like Red-ing.
You're right about the BS madagas, on the radio this morning the headline was how Axl Rose got bottled off stage for being an hour and a half late. When they told the story in detail it was down to an hour late but when they came on they played a shortened set to those few still in attendance.
In reality it appears GNR were 30 mins late and played a full set to what looks to be at least 3/4 of the crowd. GNR don't help themselves but lies and exaggerations in the media don't do anybody any favours either.
God I sound like Jarmo...
