well, I mean giving GNR benefit of the doubt, why not come onstage and explain the technical difficulty? Fans would've been understanding i am sure.

Yeah, why not? Have some guy just get on stage and explain it's not his fault. Damage control.

Some people here though, I gotta laugh. While I get targeted for drinking too much Axl kool aid, others are simply addressing Axl on EVERYTHING that's going on. Like some secret conspiracy shit going down behind everyones eyes and ears. If I didn't know better, I would think this was an episode of fucking X-Files season 1. Just replace the word "UFO" and "cover up" with "Axl Rose" and "asshole". Well, whatever makes for entertainment.

Axl Rose is the synonym of fuck-up and he's the only one to blame for it.

No one would've believed Axl, or anyone else, if they had tried to explain the reason as equipment failure.  In fact, the situation may have gotten worse if they felt they were being lied to.  At least the way it went down, it was just a "typical Axl going on late" reaction.  Just like what's going on now with the twitter fiasco.  I still don't buy the hacking story, but maybe it is true.  You can't blame people for not believing it though.  Once again, Axl has brought this on himself with his actions over the years unfortunately.

That I agree with.

That's the thing too.  They went on, what 90 minutes after AIC?  Isn't that about normal for them?  I mean even most bands go on about an hour after the opener.  It's not like the crowd was waiting for an inordinate amount of time, by GNR standards.  AIC ended at 11.  I highly doubt Axl would've taken the stage at 11:30, equipment failure or not.

I brought this up yesterday, but this probably doesn't bode well for a future US tour.  I mean, I haven't really heard bad things about the show itself, as far as the band and Axl's performance.  But everything else seemed to have gone as bad as could've been predicted.  You had a late start, fans booing the band and throwing things on the stage.  People fleeing the venue before and during their set.  Ron looking angry and upset onstage.  The US had a cold reception to new GNR to begin with.  Unfortunately, I don't think this gig did anything to help things in that area.

On the bright side, at least they finished the show and there were no riots.

Well lucky enough for Axl, he/GNR were huge and made massive amounts of money when there was money to be made in the music biz.  I can't say for sure, but I doubt Axl is hurting for money at this point in his life.  I'm sure he likes making money and I agree he could make a lot more if he changed his tune on things.  But it doesn't appear that's going to happen and apparently it's not worth it to him.  I'm sure he knows what the deal is.

I like to call the promoters little "story," some real official bullshit. Axl Rose never showed up until roughly 12:30AM local time and witnesses have spoken on the matter...

The Rock 'N Rev page on Facebook posted the story link (on their wall), and others called the news crap... Here's some of the hilarious comments (from the various links):

"If it was technical difficulties maybe you could clarify because the jackass didn't show up until 12:30 in the morning!"

"So if equipment was to blame for the delays, who is to blame for not being able to hear 95% of the vocals throught their set? That was a much bigger dissapointment than any delays"

"Someone should have announced the "technical problems" before everyone got pissed off."

"Axl Rose was to blame since he never showed up until 12:30 in the morning... but nice of you to take the heat for the jackass!"

"I am definitely going back to the Buffalo Chip next year, Guns n Roses ruined it for me at the Rock n Rev this year ...was not worth the money (even though tickets were two for 1)."

"From my experience that is totally axl. He takes the stage when he damn well pleases. I seen them 4 years ago and he did the same thing. Too bad you couldn't hear the vocals at all during this show"

"Axl Rose is notoriously superstitious, not to mention a douchebag. You'd be better off posing those questions to him."

Also, this photo (posted below) shows a crowd at the Buffalo Chip campgrounds. This was posted on DJ Ashbas' Facebook page (link: http://www.facebook.com/ashbaland) Well, GNR never performed at Buffalo Chip, they performed at MonkeyRock USA, a completely different venue. Buffalo Chips' headliner this year was Scorpions... While Rock 'N Rev had GNR.
