I didn't find it as appalling as others, but how about Axl's appearance at the 2006 VMA's to introduce "The Killers"?

^ Wasn't appaling, but looking back yes that was a strange appearance. Guess he liked them. Good band, 1st 2 albums at least.

I'm not in a habit of making up "insider-stories", but hey, Norway has a small population of people...  smile

Turns out a guy I know knows a guy, who was at the airport earlier that day to pick up Axl. The guy is a trained bodyguard (or something) and works with various VIP's.

Well, he was told to just go home, because Axl was in London and there was no use in waiting. From what I understood, Axl was supposed to arrive in a special charted jet. All they (promotor) knew was that the plane didn't arrive when it was shceduled and that Axl was in London.

I have a somewhat similar story about Philly.  Not really "insider" but more of a tangled web./coincidence.  At the show, me & a fried are sitting there, and two pretty hot girls sit next to us. Could have been strippers, classy ones though, not like whores. Anyway, about 9 or 10 oclock one of them gets a call, I hear he say "He's not here?!!" Then hang up, and the two of them begin to leave. I asked if Axl wasn't showing up, and she just kinda played it down, saying "No it's not that, something else" and she walks away. Well they never came back, & needless to say a riot starting etc etc.  The next day, on sports talk radio they were talking about it, and what happened. Well a guy calls up, who said he's a limo driver. He parked the limo, orwas doing something with it, and some security or roadie said to him, you might as well get outta here, there's not going to be a show. They told him the band wouldn't be going on. So the guy called his client, and said look we gotta get the hell outta here. It made me laugh, because it really seems that the "client" he called is the two girls next to me. I could be wrong, but it's a pretty big coincidence.

oh man, we could have our own little section for all of the "Insiders" a long the way.

from Mysteron to that one douche named Raoxlse to the fat kid who met Axl in a bar and Axl took him out to his car to let him hear some CD songs.

Fucking hilarious how some of the craziest wildest bullshit turned out to be true.

The MIke Piazza thing was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard and it was FUCKING TRUE! LOL!

Or Axl in the strip club! shit seemed so made up but was true which is why i don't dismiss rumors anymore regardless of how dumb.

thats why I believe Scott Weiland about the contracts ready to be signed.

Remember bucketheader at CD.com? Oh sweet merciful saviour, forgive my sinning heart, but I wanted to hurl myself through the internet and punch his teeth in every time he made a post.

Just as strange was saying how he hung out with them... THe more I read these posts the more insane it all seems to me.

Wait a minute. I never found this strange before but... He doesn't put out an album in 12  years and then he guests on a Sebastian Bach solo record???? wtf?

And oh shit !!! Remember the Tommy Hillfiger thing?/ Where Lenny Kravitz just happened to be sitting at a table nearby and jumped in to break it up??

He may not release new music very often, but this mans life is a work of art.

Me too but I think it went something more like this.

Live Nation: "Hey VR lads, We have $150m if you guys will reunite for a couple of shows with Axl, we've got him inline now, no old bullshit"

VR: "Send us the documents then....."

Live Nation: "Hey Axl, the VR guys will play a show, they agree to absolutely anything you want, you are in total control, they beg forgiveness and change their ways"

Then at some point everyone actually read the documents and realised everything and everyone is the same as 1998 and there was a collective "fuck this".

There's no doubt in my mind that Azoff tried to get a reunion, probably even made contact with Slash and Duff. That's about as close as it probably came. I just don't see Azoff getting passed "Reun--" before Axl went ape shit. I don't think it was ever close to really happening.

I'm sure Scott is embellishing about the contracts.

How about Axls 44th birthday party?  Was that true?  Didn't he show up at a bar & stay late & give the DJ a bootleg?

Mysteron was a great one.  Does he still post at all?  Any speculation on who he was?
