That's not really the point. It's just the same old tired stuff that DJ's will always say about Axl because he doesn't play their game. You don't hear Eddie Trunk talking about how awful a guy Axl Rose is, because Axl graced him with an in depth impromptu interview. DJ's will say Charles Manson is the nicest guy in the world if he "plays the game" the way they think it should be played. Axl chooses to do things "his way", therefore he's a hated man. If they think they're being original and witty by pointing these things out about Axl, they're not.

How do we know he "stole the bands name?". We don't. We weren't there.
How do we know Axl destroyed the band? We don't. Because there's no alternative reality showing another outcome.
GNR has played about 118 shows since 2006. 7 of these were canceled. 2 of which were out of the bands hands. That makes 5 from 2006.
But that's fine...
If you don't get it,you don't get it. People want it either in black or white. If it's not, it gets too confusing.

Most of them repeat these mantras to no end in sight. This DJ's comment on the launch of Chinese D. the album was: 15 years and several bad hair extensions has gone by...and now the album will come.
You can't take people like that seriously.

The shit they talk doesn't even effect me anymore, plus we already know that Axl is crazy anyway.

I actually haven't heard it live on radio before, and it annoys me when people first speak annoyingly about something you enjoy, and second also make fun of the fanbase you're apart of, and in the next process making clear that someone is treating you like shit.

It is wonderful that you enjoy whatever you enjoy, but if you haven't figured out by now a) not everybody agrees with you; and b) GnR is an easy target that a lot of people laugh at, therefore things like this are going to keep happening.
That is how a lot of people see it. Clearly they don't know everything about GnR and many of them know next to nothing about any version of the band, but everything on the surface is at the very least a little crazy and most certainly funny to people that aren't huge fans of the band.
Most of us even laugh at things from time to time. Very few take offense to that. It's funny. It sucks, but some of it is funny.

We all know Axl is a complicated individual.
At some point, it stops being complex and starts being inexcusable. A complicated individual becomes a dick.
Doesn't make the music any less awesome. But seriously, saying "You know what to expect" and "he's complicated" is just apologist bullshit. The epitome of nutswinging.
