I think everyone knew that shit head. Slash left in 96 which means duff left in 98 and Robin supposedly didnt join till 99.

Tommy was recruited early '98.

According to the offical statement in 1996... For Slash Leaving, he had already been out of the band for a year... hence 95, making it two years.

The UYI lineup (with Paul instead of Gilby) jammed and recorded together in '96, so that qualifies as Slash being in GNR.

He did leave in late '95, or rather, was ousted along with every other member as Axl disbanded the original partnership (which, at that point, consisted of him, Slash and Duff) and formed a new band called GNR. The rest of the guys were contractees from that point, with Slash as the last one to sign in for a trial period in the summer of 1996.
