Ooohh, dripping with auto-tune. I never realized how much contemporary Ozzy relied on that until that episode of The Osbournes where Ozzy recorded that Christmas song. You got to hear how he sounded during the recording process, then you got to hear the finished product. Auto-tune wasn't as advanced back then either, so you could even hear the digital artifacts on it.

Hard to get excited about Ozzy after reading about the guys who wrote his first 2 solo albums get shafted and their parts re-recorded. That and the Black Sabbath trademark stuff...

But Ozzmosis is still one of my top favorite albums.

Very modern... yet... not so modern.

It reminds me of the Jake E. Lee-era Ozzy, with modern touches to make it 2010.

Granted this is one track, but this seems to be a much more poppy, melodic sound from the Oz, much like the "radio ready" albums, that were Bark At The Moon & Ultimate Sin.

I wonder if Ozzy's getting away from all that "let's mix Sabbath with my solo career" bullshit, and going back to the "let's make hits" attitude of the mid 80s.

I like the song. Absolutely fucking slaughters Crucify The Dead w/ Slash.

I'd agree about picking some songs from Ozzmosis and Down To Earth to make a great album, but Down To Earth was a big disappointment.

EDIT: Sorry, I meant to say *Black Rain* was a disappointment. I dig Ozzmosis and Down To Earth. That I Never Had was one of Ozzy's best upbeat rock track in years! 9
