Colorado fired Quenneville... strange decision, he's a great coach.  Toronto fired Maurice also, and while you can't blame him for the mismanagement in Toronto, GMs like to hire their own coaches so he'd likely be out when they hire someone permanently anyway.  And it looks like Fabian Brunnstrom is going to be a Dallas Star.  He's been hyped so much and I really don't see what the big deal is.  I'd like to see what he can do in the NHL.  Finally, Kolzig is done in Washington.  No word on if he'll retire, but he doesn't want to play for the Caps next year.

pretty shitty way to treat him though...he bled for that team and even wantede to stay there during the worst of times..then things look up and they turn their back on him...pretty shitty IMO

Hmmmm... Patrick Roy behind the Avalanche bench??

Kolzig might be a nice fit as a backup in Montreal if the Habs could get a  good deal for Halak. I'm worried if Halak doesnt' start getting some playing time he's gonna want out or just go back to Russia and we'll end up getting nothing for him.  In all honesty he's good enough to get a  shot at number one soemwhere in the league, if not in Montreal.  I don't now what's better. Halak and Price fighting for the job or Price getting the job and having a  guy like Kolzig there backing up.

What can you do though Neemo? Of all the starting goalies this year I believe Kolzig had the worst G.A.A. and the worst save %. You can't do favors for goalies the way you can for players. I mean you can keep a player in your lineuyp and ask them to change their role and adapt their game but what can you ask a  goalie to do besides stop the puck?  If you're not stopping the puck you don't play no matter who you are. It's not a slap in the face, it was just necessity.

no i know...i feel for the guy though...he wasted his whole career on a shit team, and now that they are turning the corner his career is over

i dunno how good a coach roy will be...and as for halak/price battle...depends how fragile price's mental state is..some guys you need to push others ya cant

nah I think Price's mental game is what's gonna make him great. He's been rattled a few times but from what I've always heard the Habs organization is really impressed with his demeanor.  You gotta take into consideration that playing goal for the Habs is likelyt eh most pressure fileld position in all of sports except mayeb QB for the Cowboys. At 20 years old Price did an amaizng job. He faltered a bit nt eh playoffs but now he knwos. he'll be even better next year.

I feel bad for Kolzig too. It definately sucks for him. I always wonderd why he stayed there instead of moving to a  team with even a slight hope. Like the Oilers or Canucks or whoever.

As for Roy I think he's probably a  really good coach minus some antics,  but who knows what he'd be like at the NHL level. he's kinda burdend with a built in "paparazzi"  and that might be a distraction. I mean even Gretzky wasn't as hyped a coach as Roy would be. Tough to tell how it would play out with Roy behind the bench.  I have no doubt he'd be a wicked GM in the league. the thing with Roy is you know you'd have a guy who's hell bent on winning. That's a  positive.

Ribiero is an asshole...i bet he gats a game or 2 for that slash...anyway Detroit dominated tonight...ya cant score if ya cant get the puck...

Dallas is a madhouse though, the stars arent out of the series by any means....its definately getting chippy but its more that dallas is just getting frustrated...modano has to step up if the stars are gonna have any chance

Haha! Don't get me wrong Ribiero is a weasle and I don't care how many points he scores I'm glad the Habs shipped him out for basically nothing. He's a dick but Osgood is a joke. What a  loser. You see the way he went down like he was shot. Pathetic. Ribiero is a douche for doing what he did but he hit Osgood squarely in the chest pads. Fuck! Tenders take 95-100 MPH shots off the chest all the time and barely flinch. Osgood is a diving weasle. Brutal.  Riberio is brutal too though.
