Edmonton is out cuz they lost tonight

Buffalo and Chicago are holding on to slim slim hopes

Vancouver and Washington are both very much in the hunt still

Ottawa is in trouble...3 game losing streak...and if they lose to the leafs on thursday their last game of the season hosting boston becomes very huge...boston and philly both have a game in hand too with one point back

I'm interested to see what happens with the 3rd seed in the east.  Washington and Carolina are tied with 80 a piece and they both have relatively easy games left (against Tampa and Florida).  If either of them screws up, their season could be over.

Philly has 3 games remaining, 2 with Pittsburgh, 1 with Jersey; I think that's a tough schedule.  Boston's in deep with Montreal, Ottawa, and Buffalo.  Meanwhile, Buffalo's other game is with Montreal, so I really think they'll have a hard time getting in.  Either Boston or Philly will end up on the outside by the end of this, while Washington and Carolina will be 3rd and 7th/8th.

well vancouver lost to the avs last night so avs are in and calgary is all but in (they need one more point)

so really there is only one spot up for grabs in the west now between nashville and vancouver....(or chicago needs a miracle)

nashville plays st louis and chicago
vancouver plays edmonton and calgary

chicago plays detroit twice .... and nashville (obviously)

That C-H logo still looks like a horse shoe with eyes to me.

Go Penguins and Capitals in the playoffs! Keep the Cup in USA, and out of Boston and NJ.

ok!? just ok?

haha kidding

but they are kicking ass (though they lost last night 6-2) but they are one point away from clinching the regular season league lead in points

as always the best records are favorites to go far in the playoffs but it would be cool to see them get over the hump and make it to the finals...its been a few years

Yea I'm ready for the Wings to make it all the way again. I got sick of them for a few years, but they've blown enough playoff series for me to accept them again.

I can't see it happening for Detroit... They've slowed down since January and they don't have a clear cut no. 1 goalie.  that's huge.

I'm picking Pittsburgh or San Jose for the cup.
