Re: Who REALLY wrote Chinese Democracy
You know... Axl Rose didn't get credit for various songs on the Use Your Illusion records.
WHAT?! THAT'S AN OUTRAGE! KILL THEM! KILL THEM ALL!

Re: Who REALLY wrote Chinese Democracy
Axl was never 'undercredited', unlike Slash and Duff. Those two were too generous.
Re: Who REALLY wrote Chinese Democracy
Oh, so when it's Axl it doesn't really matter?
Hahaha! Typical...

Tell me an example when Axl is undercredited.

Duff? No.
It looks like Axl, Izzy, Duff, and Slash all have writing credits for all songs on AFD, Lies, UYI 1 AND 2.....WHICH MAKES IT EVEN unless I am missing something. I think the album credits are just the people who came up with the basic riff, melody, or idea for the song. The album credits on uyi are done exactly like cd.
Re: Who REALLY wrote Chinese Democracy
i think its already been said that all the old songs from the beginning of gnr were rewritten with the "orig" 5
Hmmmmmm...
The only direct example that I can use, from an "album" track, where it's easy to compare is "Anything Goes".
Listen to the "Rose" demo, not alot was changed in the "Appetite For Destruction" version, different people playing mostly same guitar and drum parts with different lyrics.

Minor song or not, it's still a point.
Re: Who REALLY wrote Chinese Democracy
So now we're reaching a point where we're attempting to take credit away from anyone not named Axl?
HAHAHAHA!! That's classic I knew that was gonna happen in light of this ASCAP stuff.
GNR fan #1: Did you see ASCAP? Axl's sole writing credits have dropped down to one.
GNR fan #2: Yeah, but he still wrote the songs, he just didn't play the instruments. By the way, did you know Slash and Duff didn't write anything? Traci Guns and Paul Tobias wrote that music.
