Re: GNR Sued For Copying Songs
I think this is the first time I;ve ever genuinely felt for the band, I guess mainly Axl but everyone who's been working on ChiDem all these years, it must just seem never-ending.
I mean, I saw this report and just wanted to say "oh, not AGAIN!"
Re: GNR Sued For Copying Songs
Yeah, I don't think this story is gonna hit the mainstream media like the Coldplay/Satriani case and others. 1) It's just not as important to the song and 2) the song isn't nearly popular enough to get any buzz. The ONLY reason it's hit Rolling Stone, Billboard, etc. is because it's GNR and the infamous Chinese Democracy. So unfortuntely that'd be the only basis for media outlets to run with the story. Because the actual "noise" that was sampled is far from groundbreaking.

at least Billboard used a fairly decent picture of Axl.

Re: GNR Sued For Copying Songs
someone on mygnr pointed out something pretty relevant (doesn't happen often):
Apparently, on Rock Band, this part of the intro is left out. I downloaded it on RB, by I seem to recall the intro being in, can anyone confirm this?
If that's true, that certainly helps this suit. They left out the samples from Maddy, too. Harmonix had all their bases covered, maybe that's what caused the delay of the release of the DLC.
Re: GNR Sued For Copying Songs
See above.
Whatever.
It's ridiculous. That was the point.
