One of the reality shows over here lost Sharon Osbourne a few years back and everyone predicted the end was coming. Think it was the X-Factor, which is basically American Idol - just another contestant based show with Simon Cowell pocketing every penny 16 Still gets the ratings without Sharon as I'm sure American Idol will without Paula.

For the record, I think Ryan Seacrest saying he's "shocked" is pure horseshit.

i heard she turned down $10mill a year for 5 years...thats hardly phasing her out hmm

Depends on what the others make. Didn't Seacrest just get the farm from Fox?

I still say they were phasing her out. This way it looks like she quit, and wasn't fired, which would be more humiliating.

Stern did a bit a while back where they had the judges on.  He brought in Josey Scott who did the song from Spiderman that was a huge hit with the dude from Nickelback.  But they didn't tell them who he was, they put him in as a regular guy who wanted to sing for them.

They hit him with shit like, you're too old, you need to project more, or something like that.  Basically saying it wasn't aweful, but wasn't that good either.

What really sticks out to me is when they told him who he was, Simon Cowell said "I've always said all I know is Pop".
Stern says something like "Pop", Huh, how many copies did that sell?"  Josey Scott says "10 Million"
