Re: Best album of the 90s- Nominations
Honestly, I would have put TSI on my list if I thought we could. I didnt because of it being all covers.
Re: Best album of the 90s- Nominations
If we got any lurkers who are MJ nutswingers, you better nominate Dangerous because its not gonna make the cut. It needs at least 2 more votes to even think about sneaking in.
Same goes for Jagged Little Pill.
Edit: Bono, U2 needs your help.
Re: Best album of the 90s- Nominations
Suprised to see so many nominate The Chronic and not mention Doggystyle, which Dre described as his attempt at producing the perfect gangsta rap album, I think it was definently the stronger of the 2.
Even though the Dre/Snoop "G-Funk" sound was pioneered on the Chronic and launched Death Row, they perfected it on Snoops following album.
Re: Best album of the 90s- Nominations
I'm actually surprised at the lack of nominations rap received. Tupac didn't make anybody's list. Ice-T only got 2 votes, and Notorious BIG got one. No female rappers were nominated at all.
If the trend stays the same, no rap is going to make it. 17 albums are locks, and a bunch of albums with 5 to 6 votes each are fighting for the three empty slots. The Chronic is one of those albums, the rest of the rap albums don't have a chance.
