Re: Your ultimate Chinese Democracy tracklist?
the album itself is good enough for me, if thats the way the band wanted it released then thats gotta be the way it is
remember that band Bush from the 90's? the released Razorblade Suitcase then they did a remixed album called Deconstructed a year later
maybe GnR will go that route? i wouldnt mind hearing some alt mixes in a truely mastered form, but none of the leaks can compete with the final mixes imo
I agree with this. I thought i was the only one. To me the album was a good - I like that they kept most of the bucket stuff that had been in the songs so long, but I also thought the overall effect of most songs was superior in album form than the leaks. I'd be interested to hear a version that was mixed and mastered by different enginers or whatever...but in general I'm happy with the way they came out as final versions.
Re: Your ultimate Chinese Democracy tracklist?
1. Chinese Democracy [album version]
2. Shackler's Revenge
3. Oh My God
4. Better [2006 Leak]
5. Street of Dreams [2002 Live, probably a mix of several versions to make a superior cut]
6. If The World [Anti Quiet Leak]
7. There Was A Time [album version]
8. Catcher In The Rye [1999 demo]
9. Scraped
10. Riad and The Bedouins [album version]
11. Silkworms [live - Rio III]
12. Sorry
13. I.R.S. [2006 Leak]
14. Madagascar [Rock Band version]
15. This I Love [chicken dinner remix]
16. Prostitute [Anti Quiet leak]
Re: Your ultimate Chinese Democracy tracklist?
Every TWAT leak followed by the released TWAT and one of the Better versions before Pittman got all over it. That's it. Mine's more of an EP.
I love me some TWAT... In the morning... In the evening... Right before bed... Anytime is a good time for TWAT.
My Tracklist:
1- Chinese Democracy
2- TWAT
3- Better
4- The Blues
5- IRS
6- Riad
7- Prostitute
8- Shackler's Revenge
9- Scraped
10- Sorry
11- This I Love
12- Catcher In The Rye
13- Madagascar
14- If The World
And I'll take the 2002-2004 versons of all the above songs.
To be honest, I still don't think Sorry and Catcher fit the flow of the album. If it was, in some alternate universe, released in 2002, a 12 track album would've been a perfect 'debut' album for the line up. Save Sorry and Catcher for that "darker" album.
