^ I'm not saying they are lying....i wouldnt know either way....but your argument that it's such old news doesn't make sence...if no one cared it wouldn't be in the paper period.....i could go on the biggest rant ever and it wouldn't get into the paper.....

Not true. Look at TMZ. How many people are sitting around, waiting for news on where Corey Haim went to eat last week?
They simply collect a slew of info on people, and report what they report. What i'm saying is, the only people reading this shit, past the first two lines are - US.
What i'm saying is why would they have to LIE? They have nothing to gain from it. Who gives a fuck about stirring a turd with Axl Rose? In 2009? If it was 1989, it might be something, but this is simply the Daily News reporting on something.
The whole "they're just trying to hurt Axl" thing is SOOOO Paxcow, and her type.
What i'm saying doesn't hold water, is that this is bullshit. This has truth in it. And the sad part is, at this point, Axl could tell me the sky is blue, and i'd go outside and look first.

Axl needs to make a statement. Wouldn't do much good of course, but remaining silent when you have an album in stores, a rumored tour, and a fan base still supporting him just doesn't cut the mustard in the 21st century.

Axlin, gossip sections of newspapers do lie. Look at the New York Post. They lie constantly. On people who are more than irrelevant. Mickey Rourke in the 90's was mr. irrelevant, but he stayed in the gossip papers. I'm not calling this a lie, because I don't know. I'm just not buying it 100%... Or even 50% at this point.
And it has nothing to do with me thinking "they're attacking Axl." I just consider the source. And sources make shit up and stretch the truth all the time.

That came from a "source" D. Not Azoff. So no, it doesn't confirm it as true.
I read somewhere in this thread about Stephanie's divorce coincided with Axl not lurking on the boards anymore, and with this story... That's kind of an interesting theory.
I bet if Stephanie called him today, Beta would be out of work... today!

I don't want to hear from Beta, or anybody like that. That's part of the problem, not the solution. The moment the various hangers on seized control of the steering wheel in the mid 90s, it stopped being anything resembling a band. I doubt that was a coincidence.
The further away those types are from the situation, the better. Would be amazing if something resembling normalcy could be reestablished and Axl's career get back on track.
I'm not attacking Beta or anybody like that. If her(or anyone) helped Axl through some personal issues, that's great. However, they always should have remained in the background and never given any kind of public role. Its only surprising to the blind that such a situation would lead to disaster. You had Beta for years telling people they weren't fans and that GNR didn't need them(how smart), Fernando acting like he's part of the band, and its obvious the official site was being run by one of those jokers because those official postings on the GNR site were horribly written, and not by any professionals.
All these hands hovering near the GNR cookie jar need to be removed. If I never see another post from those people, I'll consider it a baby step in the right direction. People who have nothing to do with GNR should have no say in its fate.
Axl could have easily had a career like Cornell did post Soundgarden. Didn't happen obviously, and hopefully its not too late.

I think this little comment in a gossip column has been blown waaaaaay out of proportion though, seems some people cant wait to stick the knife in.
To my eyes its a shitty written piece of speculative crap. There may be a grain of truth to the rumour, but all it is is a rumour.
