Re: Twitter updates
The only thing shocking, IF Ashba is gone, is that they jumped the gun on his announcement. Should've waited to see if he gelled first, then announced, unless they were feeling pressure from elsewhere after being so absurdly silent during CD's release and offers were drying up with a MIA and not coming back guitarist (Robin).
They were pretty much forced into that. I think Metal Sludge broke that story. Since it was true, they had to pony up with the info. It would have looked incredibly dumb if they all denied something so simple with it being true.
Doesn't matter to me whether he's in or out. I still haven't listened to any of his material, and don't have any plans to do so either. My musical cup already overfloweth. Ashba's discography has to step to the back of the line.
Re: Twitter updates
Surely Ashba would take down all of the GNR mentions on his website if it never worked out. I dont see why it wouldnt, he's not inexperienced, he might look young but he isnt a kid who would have found himself out of his depth.
I just cant see Tommy putting up more bullshit now the albums out there, I think he'd bail out if things were seriously amiss again.
Once he parts ways then I'll really believe that things have gone tits up.
Re: Twitter updates
It's all rumors and speculation. Same story, different day. DJ's out, Axl's pissed, reunion is inevitable. The usual. I just read about a rumor taken from MyGNR that a tour bus driver was driving through Missouri and said the tour buses have been booked for the GNR tour. Out of all the rumors, THAT one has to be the most far fetched. Really reaching on that one.

If Tommy could put up with the bullshit in 2003-2005... he's never going to leave. He's fine with being a contract player.
For the life of me i've never understood why people have this attitude like "Tommy won't put up with that". Tommy proved what he'd put up with in that previous down time. I guess people see him as a no bs guy, because other than Dizzy, he seems like the most "old Guns" new Guns guy, I dunno.

exactly....Tommy leaves when there is a reunion of the original band...and besides, playing at The Minnesota Zoo with Soul Asylum isn't exactly going to net him a lot of cash.:haha:
Re: Twitter updates
"I looked at it as more of an historical challenge. The way Axl presented the whole thing to me, it was like, 'Fuck, yeah. Let's see what comes of it.' That's probably why I stuck around for this long. I'm just waiting to see how it ends up."
The album wasnt out during previous years, thats why I figure if things are going back to a long period of downtime like 2003-2006, Tommy would just call it a day. He sounded pretty frustated about the whole experience in his interview, I think if things are as bleak as the forum prophets of doom are predicting, then he would draw a line under this experience and move on.
And there cant have been much money rolling in in post 2004, Universal stopped funding them. Axl might be rich but I cant see him paying the band for doing nothing months at a time.
Re: Twitter updates
I agree. He said in one of his interviews he never wanted to repeat this experience again. The money may be great, but everyone has their breaking point.
None of these guys are needed anyways in regards to a 2nd album. If more recording is needed on that 2nd album, just throw the fucker in the trash and start over.
