The largest margin of Victory that round was Estranged by 22 over Enter Sandman
The most votes belonged to Jungle vs Metallica - One with 27 votes
Stairway vs bohemian rhapsody was the closest battle (tie) and also the least amount of votes (16)

I'm underwhelmed. This tournament got more and more predictable each round, and its sad that half of the songs left are from two bands.
Still blows my mind we didn't squeeze in the Beatles and the Doors. Other than MJ, no huge pop artists made it, which is a bit disappointing. Also, the ONLY female singer to get nominated was M.I.A., which is troubling. Where's Madonna? Janet? Mariah? list goes on and on...
Everyone(including myself) seemed to be in a hard rock frame of mind when making nominations and didn't think outside the box.

I cant speak for everyone, but I personally hate all those pop stars you mentioned, MJ, Madonna, Janet, Mariah. I would say a lot of the members would agree.
I just dont care for their styles of music, so they would never make it with me.

I totally agree with you. I know James has explained his music tastes before, but I still don't get it. I do like a few MJ songs, but Madonna, Janet, Mariah.... sweet living God how they suck. Prime examples of how hits and success don't measure quality. I respect them as 'performers', but I ain't a fan of the music, no way, no how.
I actually did think about nominating some off the mark artists, but then I really thought about it, and was like, "why do I want to nominate something, I don't really want there anyways, just for the sake of it? It's just gonna get eliminated everytime".
Re: GnREvolution Music Madness - Discussion and Results Thread
i totally did not see that coming....
well though, in the nominations jungle had 11 nods and estranged only had 9
Small sample size. I didn't even look at the thread because I was busy arguing about something.

MJ's been involved with some awesome songs. I'm not sure if he wrote them but the songs kick ass. He's a freak, but he's a talented freak.
As for the others, you think they suck. Many others here may think they suck, but the vast majority of the rest of the world likes them. The songs don't suck, you just don't care for them. I don't care for most of them, but I can accept that the songs would be popular with certain audiences, which happen to make up the majority of CD buyers.

i tried to go all over with my nominations but when people have lists of 50 songs and all of them are from 3 bands only it's hard to get something else across.
