Re: Guns N Roses planning Summer '09 tour?
Olorin, I hear what you're saying. I'm a VH fan, but I do understand that classic rock radio beats "Jump" into the ground, which is a good song, but probably VH's most overrated in history.
As long as you stay away from the Gary Cherone-fronted Van Halen III, you'll be fine (and no it doesn't suck because of Cherone, it sucks because it sucks)
Pretty much anything else in their catalog is an absolute must, from VH I up through Balance.
also VH officially has the best album title ever

Not sure about this, but I don't believe VH has ever played Drop Dead Legs live.

well i talked to a dj who claimed to know Eddies guitar tech,,,,,yea i know, anyway, he said that this tour is a go, i dont know, just wanted to share that, im just sayin
Re: Guns N Roses planning Summer '09 tour?
Shit... i'd kill to hear a VH cover of Susie Q & Rock n' Roll Hoochie Koo
As for this tour being a go... i'm pretty sure it was a go as soon as it started making the media grounds, and Axl's housekeeper wasn't told to shoot it down.
Right now they're probably just figuring where it's gonna go, what venues, and doing the legal mumbo jumbo, dotting the i's, crossing the t's.
Re: Guns N Roses planning Summer '09 tour?
I agree it certainly seems to be in the works, but you never know with either of these bands. That's probably why no announcement has been made yet. They want to make absolutely certain that the wheels are in motion first. And even then,,,,,
Re: Guns N Roses planning Summer '09 tour?
Actually I don't think it boils down to Dave or Axl. I'm sure both don't mind hitting the road at all.
I think Eddie is the one they are handling with baby steps. Eddie's been known to come up with reasons out of nowhere as to why he can't tour or record...

You'd kill?? If I wanted someone dead, I'd obviously have to take you up on that offer. Not sure about Susie Q, but I know I have Hoochie Koo. Actually, I have a decent amount of those tracks on that club list.
Re: Guns N Roses planning Summer '09 tour?
prolly more worried about Dave and Eddie staying cordial...or if dave gives eddie a hard time, that eddie stays off the juice
Well they could always give Sammy a call, but I highly doubt new Guns and Van Hagar could do stadiums.

Well if you track down Hoochie Koo, post it if you don't mind.
