It's a shame for the family.

And Scientology is nothing more than a cult. Shame so many talented people have fallen for this bullshit.

I had to do some research for a Theology class a long time ago and there are so many horror stories. A lot involving people who died of normally unthreatening illnesses because people wouldn't go to normal doctors, but rather Scientologist doctors who wouldn't administer everyday drugs and prescriptions.

Yeah, they're into that homeopathy stuff. Nothing wrong with that, but when its time for real medical help, seek medical help.

L. Ron Hubbard isn't God.

This is a terrible tragedy for them. Even worse because they dealt with quite a bit of drama with their son since his birth. I don't remember all the details, but I think there is something in Scientology regarding 'defective' children, and obviously this kid fell into that category(no offense to him or other disabled children). Quite a few stories back in the 90s about how they treated this kid like the black sheep of the family, although that could be based more in media fabrication than in reality.

After Travolta's comeback in Pulp Fiction, the media seemed very antsy about knocking him down a peg or two. The whole Scientology thing was an easy way to do that.

That's it in a nutshell.  Scientology is more than just a tool for alienating yourself from the rest of the "real world" (whatever the fuck that is) it's no better than any other religious fanatics.

Dianetics changed many people but I'm not sure it was for the better.

Sad tragedy.

I don't remember any of the media about their son, but I believe it. There's something about "sick" children being a punishment for unpure lifestyles led by the parents.

Which even some Christians believe.

Apparently if you have 3-ways, you're gonna have a retard for kid.

It's bullshit. roll

That's not fair. If you have a 3 way, you should definitely get good karma for that.
