I wonder if they'll play a mix of old and new or just the new single and then all old stuff. I would hope they play Get On Your Boots and Single No. 2, which will probably be released around then.
I'll guess they play all new songs. No point in being on Letterman five straight nights just to showcase old material. I think they'll play five new songs Mon-Fri and on Friday they might even play twice throwing in an old song. I'm just guessing though

U2 have announced they will be playing a special live set for BBC Radio 1 on Friday 27 February. The band, whose new album is out in March, are due to perform a three-track Live Lounge session on Jo Whiley's show at 10 a.m.
Fans of the Irish rockers will also get the chance to witness the special performance. Details of how to apply for tickets will be announced during Jo Whiley's show on 23 February.
Later that day, the band will chat with Chris Evans at 5 p.m. on BBC Radio 2.
That's gonna kick ass. I love performances at Radio 1. M.I.A. did the show in 2007 only performing new tracks, and its one of her best performances to date. Santogold also did this show last year, but I never heard the whole thing.

You know......I love U2, I love Radiohead, I love Wilco....all bands who do VERY cool shit for their fans. Axl could have supported his album by simply doing a live studio recording of tracks from Chinese like Radiohead did with In Rainbows. U2 is doing essentially the same thing with this. Can you imagine Axl, Bucket, Brain, and Tommy doing this?

No, I cant. 
I do agree it was a massive mistake not to showcase this album anywhere. They should have hit Radio 1 the week before release, did an Itunes exclusive 'Live Sessions EP'(which are amazing depending on the artist). Hardcores would have ate that Itunes release up immediately. It probably would have made the Itunes chart. The gravy would have been a studio session at World Cafe. I don't know if you've heard one of those, but its where the artist does an interview, and performs from 3 to 4 tracks from the album they are promoting.
Not doing these types of things played a huge role in Chinese Democracy turning into a lead balloon. If the artist/band either doesn't care or doesn't have the confidence in the material, why should the public care?
If it boiled down to the band not being on the same page and they couldn't be assembled in the same area at once, the album should have been delayed a few months.
I can see why Uni had to pull the trigger when they did. If they didn't, a slight delay for promotional aspects could have turned into another ten year delay for nothing, which would have made the record even worse.

The album is getting alot of early rave reviews. Then again alot of the reviews sound like bullshit too. I hate how journalists think by using outlandish terms and big words it somehow makes their review more meanigful and legit. In my opinion it makes them sound like a lot of nonsense. Here's one high prasie review but just based on how it's worded it makes me roll my eyes rather than get excited.

Wow. I think I shit my pants. Two U2 albums in one year is unreal.
That is a killer interview. I know I say this at least once a year, but U2 had the career that (old) GNR should have had.
