Ummm... in the Guitar Hero commercials, Slash played Slither. So, he's not lending shit to GNR. He happens to be in a game that features GNR and also has downloadable VR content.
Yeah but the cover and back cover of the game, as well as Jungle lent itself to GN'R, not VR.
VR just happened to provide downloadable content, and the commercial just happened to have Slither. Going on what Axl said, maybe i'm looking too far into it, but my guess is they probably wanted him doing Jungle in the commercial too, and probably that was the legal stuff Axl alluded to.
There was nothing on GH3 that smacked of VR. It had Slash & GN'R written all over it. Slash's image was on the box, and if I remember correctly Jungle was mentioned on the back box. That right there associates his image with GN'R.

Yo guys!!
I am a die-hard fan from Day 1, and with the recent developments about Axl online, answering numerous questions, and filling us in on more of the Gn'R saga, I dug up a post that I had on another GN'R fan site from a couple years back.
I have yet to meet Axl but, if I had a real chance to speak with him, not just shake his hand, chit-chat for a few, and get a photo (which I'd be more than happy with!), here are 20 well thought-out questions that I'd like to pose to him. Thank you in advance Axl!! 
20 Questions for Axl Rose:
1. When you were growing up, how much of what you've achieved and who

I do want to know how it was like working with Bucket in the studio. Does he wear his getup there too? I assume he talks among friends, but if not, how did that work?
I'd also like to know his fave solo Bucket CD?
What did he think of Robin's goth phase?

I thought the question was legit. I'm sorry you don't. Wasn't trying to offend.
I was trying to gauge the relationship between Bucket and Axl vs. the relationship and debauchery of the old Guns.
He's answered stranger stuff than that...like the Disney questions.

I was just wondering if he still did that kind of stuff with NuGnR.
That was kind of like an initiation in my band, to go at a chick together at the same time.
I guess I was trying to be really concise like Axl asked in the other thread.
A more appropriate way to put it would be:
Was there any behavior in the studio similiar to the urban legend associated with the recording of Rocket Queen?
Does Bucket wear the mask even in his interpersonal relationships?
Could you convince Bumblefoot to wear a beehive on his head?
