Tejas, there was actually a more telling story by that same reporter on O'Reilly's show, where insiders described Palin like she was an absolute bitch.
Anytime she looked bad in the press, she threw the papers at the McCain advisors.
And of course there was the recent prank call where the Canadian guys pretended to be France's President and told her, "We loved the biography about you...Nailin' Palin."
Nailin' Palin is a recent porno with a chick that looks like Palin. Palin had no clue what was going on and actually said, "Well thank you!" She seriously thought she was talking to France's President even though the dude's accent was so obvious. And after she didn't pick up on the porno reference, they had to break the news to her that she'd been pranked.

I disagree with James, I think the Palin pick was a mortal blow to the McCain campaign. Sure it helped in the short term and his numbers got a boost but over time, when voters actually started to find out who she was, they were very turned off by her. People realized how unprepared she was to possibly be president and that made the McCain ticket even more risky than the "inexperienced" Obama one.
