If The World certaintly would make sense on the Guns N' Roses aspect, from this standpoint... of ALL the leaks, it's the one new-GN'R sound that distinctively reveals Axl's voice with minimal instrumentals. Thus the reason someone "not in the know" could easily go - hey it's a GN'R song, I heard Axl, I just don't recongize it.

You're welcome. And yes, I agree on the bit about Axl's vocals. If this is the song you're playing in a crowded room, of all the leaks, this is the one you'd have the casual listener maybe pick up on as GN'R.
