Re: 2008 NFL season
Anyways being the arrogant Cowboys fan that I am I just purchased 4 lower bowl endzone tickets to teh Cowboys vs Giants game on December 14th. Just wanted to watch my Boys lay a beatdown on the Midgets in person. No offence to anyone but I have a role to fill and I guess that's the "arrogant Cowboys fan"
The Midgets? Seriously?
Thats about as silly as someone saying Tony Homo.

Re: 2008 NFL season
Slightly off topic, can anyone explain why Indy's new stadium is a dome again?? I guess they're used to playing in one, but it's doesn't get that cold there like Minn does it? Or rain alot. Just wondering. I hate domes.
They want to host a Super Bowl, and the NFL doesnt want to have one in cold weather, which Indy would be in Feb. Also to attract other cash cows like basketball tournaments, etc.

Re: 2008 NFL season
Cowboys D problems really don't matter, do they? I mean, who can outscore them. Maybe the Eagles, but they couldn't Monday. Patriots? Not now. Indy? Two seasons ago, maybe. New Orleans, Chargers? Not with those defenses.
The Cowboys offensive powerhouse doesn't touch the Patriots of last year. And even the Pats potentially single best offensive unit ever didn't win a championship. There's ways to beat Dallas, and a team with a fast, tough D could get the better of them at the right moment (Philly could, it just didn't happen in Dallas Monday). Giants could beat them in the right circumstances. You cannot crown anyone until every game's been played - last season proved that.
Be glad you got the win Cowboys, but recognize that your team isn't invincible. there's a better chance that they won't win it all than there is that they will.

I was obviously being sarcastic and playing the role of the "arrogant Cowboys fan"

Re: 2008 NFL season
Crazy week so far. Patriots get beat badly, at home, by a bad team. Or are the Dolphins really that bad? Maybe Ronnie Brown can lead them to a respectable record this year. 2 overtime games, the Giants barely beating Cincy, who is now basically out of the playoffs. Buffalo did not deserve a win but dominated that 4th quarter and pulled it out, going to 3-0 for the first time since 92 and sitting atop the AFC East. Denver's offense is the standard for the rest of the league, do they play Dallas this year? That'd be a hell of a game. San Fran looks better than expected, and Arizona may still be the same old Arizona after all.
Re: 2008 NFL season
yeah crazy crazy day...i cant believe that indy is 1-2, i cant believe that dolphins trounced NE so badly, i cant believe that ronnie brown was so insane, i cant believe that oakland scored so much and that buffalo came back, i cant believe that philly can allow 41 points one week and 6 the next
the season is fucked so far
