Re: 2008 NFL season
Yeah, I'll tell you what, Atlanta is the Cleveland Browns of 2008. They're a pretty solid team and I'm surprised Matt Ryan is playing well as a rookie. I think Baltimores rookie QB, Joe Flacco, is also starting and playing fairly well. Surprising, usually QB's bust.
Re: 2008 NFL season
I agree it's been pretty uneventful. Aside from Tennessee being 8-0 it seems like everybody else is tied (aside from the 5 or so awful teams at the bottom).
Could make for a great playoff race at the end though, game 16's could have so many scenarios.

Re: 2008 NFL season
I wouldn't call it blah, I'd say it's been really good. I hate the undefeated dynasty style of play we had last year from New England. All you ever heard about in the NFL was the Pats and their games were so fucking boring, I don't want to watch 56-14 every week. I like a league where any team can win any game. Games have been sloppy, but very entertaining - Arizona vs. Dallas being a good example. I rarely watch a full game that isn't the bills, but I sat through each play excited.
Bills played bad, not awful, but turnovers + McGee giving Ginn a 10 yard cushion each play killed us.
Re: 2008 NFL season
How bout them Titans? Totally unreal. Just another example of why I dislike the current parity era of sports. One year its NE going undefeated, then the Titans. Next year it'll be Arizona.
Not digging this season at all. Some good stories I guess(Favre's success, Titans, Buffalo's minor resurgence, etc.) but there just isn't much to get excited about.
Re: 2008 NFL season
Giants are 8-1 which makes me very happy. Beat Philly in Philly.. Not easy to do.
The Titans undefeated streak won't last too much longer. But they have been playing impressive. Fucking Collins coming back from no where to really help lead this team. He won the game for them yesterday.

Re: 2008 NFL season
I'm really into this season, even when the Bills suck (2 weeks in a row of abysmal performance). Why would you want to know before the game is played who's going to win? I enjoy parody, and at the end of the day, it's still running game+defense+no turnovers= win. It's just that rookie running backs have exploded and some all-pros have slipped completely.
Bills have now gone two weeks in a row without throwing a pass that was in the air for over 25 yards. And in two games they have about 80 yards rushing. When they're putting 8 in the box, you have to hit them through the air deep. Hopefully against Cleveland we'll pick it up. Starting 0-3 in division is an easy way to miss the playoffs.
