when you cut your toe nails...sometimes you leave a little burr on the ends when it is at the edge when the nail goes under the skin....if you dont get all the nail off the sharp peice could cut into the side of your toe and cause an infection...that is called an ingrown toenail cuz the nail physically grows into your toe

they actually held up a big piece of shitnail that they had removed from inside my toe the first time I had it done. I saved it and made a necklace out of it, just so I can give a special female a part of me when the time has come.

This reminds me of a childhood memory. Me and my cousins used to wrestle all the time(we were hardcore wrestling fans as kids). My cousin Scott had an ingrown toenail, and during the duration of it, me and a couple of my other cousins would "work on it" like wrestlers do when their opponents have an arm/leg injury.

this is sweet.
i must admit i have never before in my life seen multiple posts discussing ingrown toenails in detail in any forum, anywhere, until now.
and i was on forums back in the BBS days, pre-internet. lol.
got a podiatry history myself: three foot surgeries. right foot, age 13. left foot, age 17. right foot again, age 28. i never saw them happen but i did get to watch them pull steel pins out of me. felt very strange.
