So the worrying of the General being "vinyl only" was all for not. Who woulda thought!

I caved & ordered it

So it is coming out on CD.

It's funny how we have to rely on UMG Euro and Asian sites for info.

Japan only release? Many bands do this.

It's starting to look like connecting Monsters to The General was a mistake...or they considered it but pulled back at the last minute.

Not including it on a 7" vinyl is one thing...not doing it on CD is another.

Not even with a leak can things be straight forward. Now there are only more questions.

When Village leaked, was it common knowledge how the leak happened? Or did that come out eventually?

Back when we though that Monsters was actually The General, people me included would get "The General" flagged and pulled by Universal. Even though in reality it was Monsters (of course we didn't know that). I wonder if there is a chance they were registered together as a sort of defensive trademarking thing. Meaning they could remove the track at the same time as not giving away what it actually was. (if that makes sense)

Still don’t know why they don’t just put it on an album. I’d love to have a recorded Wichita Lineman

The writing credits are not even right for the song, the left out some of the old band members from the CD era.
which is effed up by Axl

That website that people get the writing credits from are wrong all the time.
There are UYI songs where we know the writing credits and they are wrong
One of them gives Dizzy a writing credit he does not have for example.

I'm kind of hoping Monsters is the b-side to Atlas - but that seems kind of unrealistic I guess.

Of all the leftovers, I'm intrigued the most to hear what they could do with Atlas
