Re: The Video Game Console Thread
Another thing that gets me is the internet demands. I don't/haven't had any use for that xbox live and don't intend to, but its now forcing me to use it. They've taken total control away from the gamer. You're basically paying $500 to be part of the xbox matrix.
Until they come out with a cheaper, less restrictive, less demanding system, I'm buying the PS4 and staying away from xbox.

Re: The Video Game Console Thread
I'm buying both PS3 and Xbox one, but to be honest I am really excited about the always on Xbox. The possiblities for an always on console are amazing and I feel microsoft failed in explaining its benefits.
The issue of DRM doesn't bother me as I only buy the games I want and buy them new anyway (I'm sure this will affect youngers players without an income though) and the issue of having to connect to the internet once every 24 hours doesn't bother me either. I have had my consoles connected to the net since the dreamcast.

Umm...I'm excited for this. Going to put this in the Walking Dead forum too. It's five bucks for a one episode with 5 characters going through the main story and it will impact the effect you have on Season 2 with your choices. Out in July!

I'm real excited about this too. It was really hard waiting for them to release each episode of season 1. I think I enjoyed the game even more than the show!
I would like a game with more traditional gameplay(fps, puzzle elements, etc), with the narrative of this one.

I personally think the fps and rail shooter targeting elements didn't work all that well until the 4'th or 5'th episode. They needed to be tweaked a tad. Some commands didn't respond as well they should of; so I had to repeat them a few times. As long as those main things are fixed, then I think Season 2 will be really special and this DLC will bring some nice forward momentum. So many survivors and good stories to tell outside of what happened this past game season and the show. The comics I highly recommend. They are quite a read and I hope for the best with Season 4.

I NEED THIS GAME
Dude..it looks amazing! I still need to play the fourth one though. The Fox game engine isn't pulling any punches. I just don't have PS3. Keither Sutherland "Jack Bauer" himself is doing the U.S. voice of Snake this time. The game play looks fresh and new as well as the level design. The last trailer they showed a few months ago was mind blowing.

Wow... This is stunning. Never in a million years dd I think Microsoft would do such a 180. The backlash must have been worse than even I thought.

My primary concers are addressed. I think the system is worth the price and now it is goign to be less restrictive where the gamer has all the power once again. It doesn't take much to make your consumer base happy. Just listen to them.
