No doubt. Now, I would be interested to see what Slash and Duff could do with Zodiac and State of Grace. Transform industrial type riffs in to a more Gnr sound.

And since Perhaps is so rough, an all new take on it would be sweet.

Perhaps is definitely up Slash's alley. It already sounds like a lost UYI demo.

It would be interesting to see the approach. Look what he did to Better.

I think the Smells like Teen Spirit parts are a problem though. It doesn't just sound similar, it's sounds slightly at points like a knock off version.

Yeah and to the point that the one time the track was mentioned in an online media outlet, that was it's description.

Might be why it didn't move up to the A list.

Even so, Musically I'd place it in the top 5. It stands proud next to CD and Riad in the ass kicking department.

Zodiac is no slouch either. It's better than Shackler's.

That infamous 2005 article went into those aspects of the saga and they weren't kind to say the least.

Those are valid points to take into consideration....but..."this won't sell"....I don't see why not. The 99-00 sessions are literally running the gamut of 90s trends.

Sorry, I wasn't saying I didn't think it would sell, I was saying the 'label' maybe wasn't only saying that (ie. IMHO there were money/contract issues as well).

I think it woulda sold ok at the time, not put GnR back on top of the charts, but decent. Wish Axl & VR had a better battle. I think CD mighta been panned a bit, but looked back now as a better album than they received credit for
