Nahhhh. TFA was ok, TLJ isn't bad, top 5 films in the franchise unless you feel Revenge of the Sith was 4 or 5. I put it at ANH, Empire, TFA, Rogue One, and TLJ top 5.
ROTS is my #2 or 3
Admittedly I have to watch that again. Are Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones any good? I think I've heard mixed thing on Clones, but Menace typically stays bad.

The dialogue is terrible, but Clones is an absolute crazy visual feast. Like Matrix meets Speed Racer. That chase through the city was awesome. Again, dialogue is absolute trash, but overall, cool experience. I don't think PM is that bad outside Jar Jar. But rewatching it now is crazy knowing Jar Jar is actually a villain and a Sith on top of it.

I enjoy all of them. Admittedly the Phantom Menace is the worst of the 3, only being better than Rogue One (fuck that movie) of any film, but it has its moments. Palpatine’s ascension, Qui-Gonn and Anakin (ignoring the pod race), and the darth maul scene of course. The ending is also incredibly well done once you realize that “celebration music” is the emperors theme at a higher octave and faster tempo. It sets up the sith and Palpatine perfectly. The characters and audience are literally cheering to a celebration of Palpatine becoming Chancellor and setting the stage for his whole climb to emperor.
I agree with ID that the acting in episode II sucked, but I enjoyed the plot. And seeing Yoda kick ass for the first time was epic.

Revenge Of The Sith is my #2 of the entire franchise.
1. Empire
2. ROTS
3. New Hope
4. TFA
5. Attack Of The Clones
6. TLJ
7. Phantom Menace
8. ROTJ
Return of the Jedi at the bottom o of the list....?
Wow. Just wow.

Re: How I Would Have Done Star Wars Episode VIII (Spoilers)
I would rate something like
1. A New Hope (It started all the cool ideas in any starwars)
2. Empire Strikes Back (best plot twist ever)
3. Return of the Jedi (throne room sequences are amazing)
4. The Force Awakens (Old School Starwars Feel even if its a reboot)
5. The Last Jedi (Not the plot I wanted but it's still very entertaining)
6. The Phantom Menace (Film isn't good but I rate it for Darth Maul sequences)
7. Rogue One (Don't like this movie except for the vader parts. Less original than TPM above though so it goes second.)
8. Revenge of the Sith (It's actually kinda good but the whole world of the prequels is too annoying to me)
9. Attack of the Clones.

I don’t get all the hate for Rogue One. I loved it, and I thought it sat nicely with the original trilogy
