This is such bullshit. Bush didn't have a handle on Iraq...Saddam did. Bush destabilized that region and turned it into a battle zone between various Muslim sects with American troops smack dab in the middle of it. It also became a battle cry for jihadist nutjobs to come and fight us.

Over ten years ago I said that Bush put us in an impossible position: We either stay in Iraq spending trillions, stuck in the middle of a civil war with thousands of American men and women dying, or we leave, handing Iraq over to Iran. That's exactly what happened.

Furthermore it was Bush who signed the Status Forces agreement before he left office, providing a timeline for withdrawal by 2011. Obama followed that timeline and pulled the troops out. The majority of Americans also wanted us out of Iraq, as our kids came home in caskets or with their limbs blown off.

The lies leading up to, during and after Iraq make me sick. Conservatives could never own this disaster and then had the nerve to blame Obama for its failure later.

On the bright sidel; Farage has failed 7 times in 7 different constituencies. If Nutal fails in Stoke, then the Tories are as bad it'll ever get.

I was thinking closer to home, Arlene & her spads & their boilers..
I'd think there's plenty of people elected here who are just as big an ignoramus as Trump tbh.

They have very little power other than forcing another local elections or screwing up budgets. Most of them don't even vote in Westminster, including DUP (well often). I could not give a fuck flags, parades or religion.

I can understand why RF thinks this is all Obama's fault...he's implied and pretty much outright stated the only type of foreign policy he sees value in is blowing shit up and overthrowing governments he disagrees with. It's hypocrisy at its finest that he has a problem with it when its a drone ordered by Obama to do it...the collateral damage of war are innocent people dying...RF of all people should know that.

Bush never had clear objectives beyond 'getting' Saddam....remember the whole victory party on the aircraft carrier out on the ocean? Yeah...that was was 12, 13 years ago? Nothing was accomplished....it was a classic case of 'don't know what you got 'til it's gone.' It's worse now than it was when Saddam was in charge. RF would say that we should've stayed until the job was done. I say, the job was never going to get done...the Iraqi people couldn't sustain its own pseudo-democracy. But we Americans....we don't learn from our mistakes...we tried the same shit in Vietnam and it failed. The American government sponsored its own version of democracy in Iraq. It was contrived and doomed to fail from the get go...

It was this moment right here in the early 2000s that I have turned my back on the Republican Party of bullshit. This was self-congratulatory bullshit...flexing your American made muscle and cuming all over yourself. I hear people bitching about the cost of the ACA in 2017...those same people didn't utter a peep when Bush put the entire Iraq war on a credit card...because somehow fighting a war in a country on the other side of the world, in a country almost no American will ever visit, made us all feel better about ourselves.

Think of all the misinformation, the propaganda, all the things that were done to build up the fragile male/American ego again after we let our precious homeland be defiled by foreigners...the arrogance of a president who was briefed about this and chose to ignore it...the childishness of saying....'well...i've only been in office for 9 months...I can't be held responsible.'

Yup...that was it for me and the Republican party...

Oh Mitch do you remember what the politic threads looks before the 2008 election?

Can you guess which forum members still believed Iraq was a good idea and justified?

I was away most of yesterday/last night (NOT at a march lol).  My recap:

- The march was great, not THAT extraordinary as the conservatives did something similar with Glenn Becks Tea Party March.

- Sean Spicer is a douche, and so is Trump for sending him out there. For a Presidents Press Secretary to call a special meeting on a Saturday afternoon is typically reserved for a big announcement. Reporters thought more cabinet members had been approved or a major announcement was being made?!  To dispute the AMOUNT OF PEOPLE who attended the inauguration is truly bizzare?!

- I think Sanders possibly might have one, but I think it would've been about as close as it was. Bernie probably could've attacked Trump harder whereas Hillary seemed advised (rightly so) to take the high road. I do think Tim Kaine was a pretty safe/lame pick.  Wonder  if Hillary should've picked Bernie as VP. I think the opposing views (anti-billionaire vs funded by billionaires) would've shown hypocrisy tho.

- "Lock Her Up!!"  suddenly morphs into  "I'd like to thank Senator Clinton for coming tonight".  I wonder who the special prosecutor Trumps going to hire is?!

- Chris Wallace owned Reince Preibus on FNS, and Stephanopolous just owned KellyAnne Conway over the Spicer presser. Wallace also owned Mitch McConnel for saying cabinet pick Mulvaney "forgot to pay taxes" but brought up footage of McConnel in 2009 refusing to accept Tom Daschle for not paying taxes. McConnell was stumped and fumbled thru the rest of the interview.

Not a great start for the administration. That said, time to move on.

That said, I think Trumps gonna be a 1 term President.  Everything he said in his campaign was a lie. He's got an ego so big he actually cares how many people attended his inauguration?!  And his final and main campaign promise of 'Bring jobs back to the US" isn't all that feasible?  Can Iphones, HDTVs and clothing from Old Navy & Target really be made in America?  If so, won't prices increase drastically?  Has Donald Trumps company EVER do very much to prove this is doable?  No.  Outside of construction in Manhatten and other large markets for pricey hotels and filing for backruptcy 4 times and bailing out of the casino industry which doesn't even pay minimum wage. His own daughters shoe & clothing line are made in China yet she reaps millions from it by doing nothing but putting her Trump name on them?!   It's a joke. They're just out there tearing down the media to build up Breitbart as a legitimate news source.

Amusing what threads where deleted from HTGTH. Can't remember URL for the old Tin Foil site or if it even exists, nevermind the different "personas". The ROV stuff wasn't that well archived, but here's some;

Facts or not, they're still excuses. Hillary was shady and turned half the country off. Trump was far from an unflawed candidate obviously, but he still won. Regardless of how or why it happened, it happened. There's no turning back now.

It's not an excuse, it is a fact that it took outside forces to defeat her, and he still couldn't win the popular vote. No one is saying it didn't happen or he isn't the legal President, he's *President Trump. And yes, no turning back for the fucktards who voted him in.

It's not a fact, but you can go on believing that if it makes you feel better. Do you have proof Hillary would have won the election if certain things didn't happen? I think that would be impossible to prove unless you break out the DeLorean and change the events leading up to Election Day. Let me know when you get back from your journey.

It is a fact because it happened, and it wouldn't have been attempted if it wouldn't have had an impact.

Haha, awesome. So let's recap:
1. He'd never win Ohio,
2. and I doubt he'd win Florida.
3. Obama doesn't stand a chance.  He's black, young, relatively new to politics and has Hussein as a middle name.

He's wrong on 3 counts. He cites GOP.COM as a trustworthy and unbiased news source. And is blind faith in the Republican Party lies and "We made Iraq a better place, We'll leave it much better than it is so quit complaining liberals" SINGLEHANDEDLY led to the exact rise of ISIS.

Just hysterical at how badly his words came back to an eipc fail.

I posted this before, but I urge alot of you to watch as the collapse of Iraq just led to nobody in charge & ISIS' rise.
