Feels like it was the 7th film in the series. Pretty sure it's a case where they decided to make this, before they wrote a script.
Most of the comedy set pieces are in the trailer, rest of the jokes just fall flat.

It's not as bad as I'd heard but not great either, if you go in aware that it's not really a comedy that might help. Having said that stay until after the initial credits roll as that's the funniest bit.
