I thought it was pretty cool. I guess I'm a lame-ass fan of nerdy stuff too. This girl probably had the dream of playing with Slash and had her dreams realized when she got the opportunity. And well, I'm not against anyone making money for doing their job. Slash's job is in the music industry. Part of the music industry is entertainment. As an entertainer he's allowed to participate in as many of these events as he wants.
Not only that, but games like Guitar Hero have become staples among youth culture. Some say it's the wave of the future for the music business. As long as Slash attaches himself to such products, he and GNR remain popular. At least he's reaching out to fans instead of hiding for months or years at a time.

Yeah, he was the icon of the GH3, so I guess it's natural for him to participate @ these gigs. Maybe he even has a contract to do this kind of things.
