went to my first ever regular season nfl game last night - I'm gonna have to do that again sometime!
Pats absolutely romped. Class of the AFC - made Houston look JV. Wade Philips did not have his unit prepared AT ALL.

Nice, I was there too! The weather was UNBELIEVABLE for a December night game in New England. It was supposed to rain the entire game, yet the rain stopped prior to kickoff and held off the whole way through. Temps in the 50's. Couldn't ask for much better. Of course I'm sure it'll be a different story next week when San Fran comes to town. Early forecasts show the possibility of snow.
The game itself was surprising to me. I expected a close game and it was anything but. Dominant performance by the Pats. The Texans didn't seem to have a very solid gameplan going into it. Whatever they planned, certainly didn't work. I hope Aqib Talib is alright, he left the game in the second half and didn't return. Though it didn't look too bad and early indications are he'll be able to play next Sunday. Not that he's been GREAT, but the defense has been much better since he's joined the team. And I don't think that's a coincidence.

Dalton's actually been pretty good this year. Though I heard he wasn't very good last night. I have him as my fantasy QB in one league, so I was hoping for a bit more. Luckily he did have a late garbage TD pass, and a TD run that made the night not look so bad on the fantasy side. But real life numbers were not good. He does try to force the ball a lot and makes some bad decisions, but overall he's been better than I expected this season. Having AJ Green at your disposal certainly doesn't hurt.

Seahawks will beat 49ers. You heard it here first.
The last couple 49er games went exactly how I thought so i feel confident in this. And Pete Caroll HATES Harbaugh.
I wouldn't be surprised. Seahawks are tough at home. Niners could have a letdown after the big road win over the Pats, just like the Pats had last week after their big win over the Texans. Seahawks are playing well, so yeah I could certainly see it happening.

If the Pats had a better secondary (or one that wasn't so young) different ball game. I still don't get why Bill didn't run a 48 defense like Miami did and totally shut Kapernick out, except for one long run at the end of the game. And my Dolphins are terrible!

The Pats defense had been playing pretty well of late, albeit against some inferior opponents. They took a bit of a step back last week in getting blitzed for 31 points in the first half. On the bright side, they shut the Niners down in the 2nd half and allowed the offense to get back into the game. Then the special teams let the Niners have a short field and one more bad defensive play was all it took to do them in.
