I fucking hate Jason Garrett. I can't believe that Dallas with the talent they have can be so fucking consistently inconsistent. That falls on coaching and an inability to prepare the team week in week out. Complete lack of focus and disciplin in Dallas and it's been that way since Parcells left. Sad part is no that they have the players they don't have a coach. I swear to god they are teaching a soft mindset and culture in Dallas. I can just pictue Jason Garrett pumping these clowns tires on a  daily basis telling them how great they are. He should've been fired 2 years ago. In fact he shoudl never have gotten the job to begin with.

Also today was without a doubt the WORST I have ever seen Jason Witten playa nd Dez Bryant was fucking aweful.

Oh yeah, not saying that the Viks will beat the Bears in December, because anything can happen between now and then, but Ponder had a passer rating of 114 today

How did Cutler do?

Look up the stats, I don't know exactly what they were.  Stats are for fantasy football (where I'm not playing Cutler).  I think the Bears scored 40 against Indy.  And they won.  Ouch.

You can have QB rating.  I'll take wins.

Now we get to your problem

I'm not the guy who says his team is more talented than the Packers.

Obviously the Packers are better than the Vikings, this has absoluting nothing to do with my team. I never made a ridiculous statement like you did

LOL.  I still say that, and I'm still right.  The Packers won at home thanks to a fake FG and 4 Ints.  You're supposed to win at home; you're not supposed to need 4 Int's and a fake FG to do it when your offense is supposedly one of the best out there.

The Packers offense got manhandled by both the 49er and Bear defenses.  That is a fact.  Rodgers was better than Cutler.  That is a fact.  Packers receivers continued their trend they started last year of dropping passes left and right and they haven't had a 100 yard RB in close to 30 games.  Both of those are facts.  All of that is consistent with what I said earlier, which makes it quite easy to stand by what I said.

So you can deal with opinions all you want, my statement is backed by fact.

Let's revisit:

The Bears are more talented than the Packers.  They almost beat them in the playoffs two years ago with a third string QB.  After absorbing another idiotic Mike Martz fueled slow start, they were playing as good as anybody in the NFL last year when Forte and Cutler got hurt.

Check.  An opinion certainly, but backed by many analysts.

The Bears drastically improved their offense coming into this season.  Cutler was pretty good with nobody at WR; he'll be even better with Marshall outside and a healthy Earl Bennett (Cutler's recent go to guy) in the slot (think Welker).  Devin Hester will be single covered if teams double Marshall.  More importantly, there's no Mike Martz.  I can't begin to tell you how many problems he caused by himself.

Looked pretty good week one, not so good week two.  Hardly enough on either side to change an opinion.

Their defense is far superior to GB.  check  Their ground game is far superior to GB.  check  Their ST are far superior to GB.  check, though it was embarrassing that they let the fake FG happen  The only advantage (and granted it's a big one) GB has is Rogers over Cutler.  check  I think the rest of the gap offensively has closed that Rogers over Cutler isn't enough to keep GB ahead any more.  Cutler was pretty good last year and threw no red zone interceptions last year.  Many say he's top 10 already.  If he builds on that the Bears will be in great shape.

Again, haven't seen anything that changes any of this.  Rodgers is better than Cutler...never said he wasn't.  I respect the hell out of Rodgers.  Cutler and the rest of the team are still learning the new offense.  Never said they would win every game; never said they would beat the Packers.  Here's what I said:

Sure, I'm drinking the koolaid.  I admit it.  And certainly health is pretty much a requirement for all teams, but I really think the Bears are set to be very, very good this year if they don't lose Cutler.

What did you see that changes that opinion?  I saw nothing, so please educate me and tell me what you saw that says the Bears will not be very, very good this year?  I didn't say they'd sweep the Pack; I didn't even say they'd beat them.  They lost to the Pack worse than that last year and were rolling when the injuries kicked in.

the blame lies with Jerry Jones and the actual demise started when Jimmy Johnson left. Switzer won because he had all of Johnson's players. Once the big three slowed down and Jerry Jones took over complete control (outside of the brief Parcells stint), it was over and has been over since then.  All Jerry Jones' fault. sad

Agreed but it's useless to even mention Jerry Jones when talking about these things because untill he dies he's not going anywhere and we all know it. He's untouchable. He's never gonna allow anyone else to run the show so you gotta bitch about the replaceables which are the players and coaches and as far as I'm concerned the biggest problem on the field is Jason Garrett.

They've been kind of like the Raiders of the NFC in that they always seem to shoot themselves in the foot with dumb penalties.

Bryant and Kenny Britt are similar WRs.  Should be dominating but injures and off the field issues are major problems.

I have a feeling that The Rams are going to make a play for Barkley. Fisher has a hard on for all things USC, Bradford isn't his guy... They have a shitload of picks to work with. I think it could happen, especially if Bradford has a down year and gives them an excuse.

Replace the Rams with the Titans and I think this could happen especially if Adams cleans house.  This team is the worst in the NFL.  They've lost games by 21 and 28 points.

Locker's contract isn't really expensive at all since it got capped.  That being said, I'm not sure they get the #1 overall pick.  And I certainly don't want to sit through a miserable 2 or 3 win season.

Are you claiming the more talented team never loses?  Are you claiming the team playing better at the time always has a better record?  You have a lot to learn about sports.

Obviously the better team doesn't always win, but lets face it, the Packers are better. Your Bears bias is clouding up your unbiased judgement. The general population would agree with me that the Packers are a better team than the Bears.  We'll see who has the better record at the end of the year. And when the Packers have a better record than the Bears at the end of the regular season, don't go bitching to the forum and try to justify your precious Bears and their inferior season to the Pack.

End of story

Do they play the same teams the same weeks?  Record doesn't mean jack shit as long as it's close and there are certainly reasons teams lose that have nothing to do with talent.  The Pack could go 15-1 and I'd still tell you the Bears have more talent, and I'd still be right.  As you point out, GB was 10-0 and the Bears were 7-3, yet most in the industry were talking about the Bears playing as good as anybody at that point.  That's what you don't get.  Sure, some of that was probably just something to talk about, but things change.  It's not about records.  Ask GB if the NYG's record affected their game with them last year.  Ask SF the same question.

I think the issue is Cutler doesn't think he can beat the Pack.  That has nothing to do with talent.

You have so much to learn about sports that you probably shouldn't even be discussing it at this point.
