I don't really have any problem with what Sheen said. If I were Slash, I'd have liked it to be about me though. So from that perspective, I could've done without the comment. But not because I was offended on Axl's behalf, more bother on behalf of Slash if that makes any sense.

Exactly that. Sheen seems to be stealing the spotlight and making it about himself. Suddenly it's not Slash's been inducted, the headlines read "Sheen bashes Axl".

I'm glad Slash got in there but can someone explain to me, I really don't know, if the stars are only given to individuals or can groups be there? Like, could there be a Guns N' Roses star?

I think a Guns N' Roses star, even with the RNRHOF around, would make much more sense, given the fact that it's IMPOSSIBLE not to associate Axl to Slash and vice-versa.

"Charlie's probably one of the best examples of rock & roll that I know, because he does what he does, doesn't give a fuck what anybody has to say, and from an integrity point of view he's really great at what he does," he said. "And he's got this extracurricular lifestyle, which he makes no bones about. He does what he does and he doesn't take shit from anybody, and I love him for that."

But if it's Axl doing what he does and not giving a fuck it's bad?

There IS a little difference. 14 I think that Axl's saying what he has to say isn't the heart of the problem. If he he had been more productive, blamed less the entire world for his own faults, if he had less paranoia, maniac dictatorship and shit like that nobody would have too much problem with him.

I hate though that Charlie hijacked Slash's celebration and made it into a Slash/Sheen vs. Axl thing.

I think honestly, now that we're all a little older and Sheen and Axl are both 50 or near it... if Axl Rose can't figure out that Charlie is a constant ball buster smart ass... Axl needs to get a thicker skin

Look at Sheen's roast. He got blasted and he took it well.
One spoiled millionaire teasing another...who gives a shit...really?

That's an entirely different scenario.  A roast is set up to obviously poke fun at the roastee.  That is not what this was.  A little more unexpected dare I say.  Again, I don't have a problem with the joke.  But let's not compare it to Charlie taking his roast like a champ.

Yes bands can have stars. I know Motley Crue has one. I took a picture of it when I was there. I'm sure there were other bands with stars as well I just don't recall off the top of my head which ones I saw.

Are we talking about the same Charlie Sheen? The guy who thinks 9/11 was a conspiracy, that Chuck Lorre was out to get him, that vaccines were created by the government to poison us and AA wants to keep people from enjoying life....this guy isn't super paranoid? He also threw away the best job he had in years due his refusal to get help for addictions and didn't care if he cost an entire production team their jobs.

And of course the whole breakdown and almost slitting his wife's throat while their kids slept in the next room.

I don't see where being Rock N Roll can be used as an excuse for his insane behavior anymore than it can be for Axl. He's a 47 years old man with 5 kids. Being wasted in public and acting stupid aren't funny anymore.

You are right. People hate Axl because he's Axl. It's this simple.

Actually Charlie didn't necessarily fuck up that job. I think he was a genius leaving it and getting more publicity and bigger profile as the show has been on downslope for a while.

he got 100 million dollars from it and now his new show Anger Management is about to get picked up for 100 episodes which also will net him another 100 million

We'll see about that.  He went from a top rated show on a MAJOR network to cable TV.  Ask Conan O'Brien how that move has worked out for him.  Obviously he made a boat load of money, but I'd be shocked if he makes a fraction of that at FX.  I don't know for sure, but I'm just guessing that the pay over at FX isn't quite what it is at CBS.

He made plenty of mistakes along the way.  He himself has admitted as much lately in interviews, asking. "what exactly was I WINNING at that time?"

He is, but not for the right reasons.  He was hugely popular right out of the gate during his public meltdown.  But that has died down tremendously.  For the most part, people could care less about the saga that is Charlie Sheen nowadays.  Obviously he still has his fans, and undoubtedly gained a whole lot more for his most recent crazy antics.  But if Anger Management doesn't do well (one successful premier episode does not make it a success), his popularity will die down even more than it already has.
