Re: Apocalyptic Love FAN reviews
I pretty much agree with Gibbo's numbers but I'd up Carolina's number to a 9....doesn't have an epic solo or anything but it's just so damn catchy...and that sleazy way slash plays the chorus riff is killer.
Definitely Slash's best work out of GNR...and Anastasia guitar wise is probably top 5 of Slash's best ever solos/riffs. It's pure GNR worthy...you know with the others around it would have been a classic GNR song ala Civil War/DTJ standard AT LEAST.

Anastacia is musically far superior to those GN'R songs you mentioned. Even without Axl, Duff and Izzy. There are other very strong songs on the album, and I wouldn't forget about the first Slash album either, which has amazingly some great music, but the 'MTV Greatest Hits' number of singers and different styles makes it hard to listen from Ghost till Baby Can't Drive (tha latter is an awful song though.)
I agree that Carolina is damn good and should have been on the album. My only problem is that it sounds a bit unfinished and a bit steril compared to the other songs. I'd say 7/10, which is pretty good on my scale.
