Actually I was joking with a friend a while back i often mishear lyrics..and come up with artful ways to make my crap make some kind of logical sense meaning wise....then i'm disappointed when I find out those arn't the words...one day I'm going to write a song with all my lost phrases...lol

I don't think either of you have it right. To me it sounds like he sings:
"have you profited to my cold and shallow way? I'm the devil you keep inside"
And like Monkey has said, I think the lyrics about Axl's grudge with Slash (he's the devil he's referring to).

What? Does the CD booklet in the USA have lyrics? All our Aussie one had is pretty photos of the band....interesting...was yours the deluxe version with the making of DVD?
