Axlin and others... y'all talk about slash not interacting with the rest of the band, other than Axl, during the illusions tours, slash was in his own world. His wah is only on one the stage.

He put money and Adler and helped produce the album and guested on a song.  Adlers's singer and I have mutual friends, he said slash was around all the time during the making of his record. Slash was there for Duff, Adler, and the fans. He has had Gilby jam with him many times over the years. He truly a good guy in rock. Let's not make up shit about the guy.

I'd like it too, but it's not looking likely.  Not sure what the deal is.  Odd for sure.  Why would Scott just make something like that up?  Was he punked by a Duff impersonator?

Slash's reaction to hearing the Weiland reunion thing is classic.  Take a listen to the audio of it

You know it makes me wonder if as Scott said, himself, Dave and Duff were getting together for a songwriting session and maybe if it went ok they were going to present the material to Slash.  But Scott jumped the gun and ran his mouth off and the cat is out of the bag.

I thought that as a possibility too, but Duff seemed just as surprised in his latest tweet.  So unless he's just doing damage control.

While I was excited about the prospects of it, I'm happy to see that (it appears) Duff and Slash are on the same page...

This whole thing has blasted through the weird ceiling and is now in full-on surreal. Maybe Scott's putting VR back together with a whole new lineup?

Nah, that could never happen in the rock world...

Based on what i've heard from Slash & Duff solo since, Duff had a FAR better idea and mindset towards where VR should've went.

I guess it's personal taste. I like Duff...but to me Loaded is far less interesting and way more bland than the Slash solo stuff like Ghost, Nothing to Say, Anastasia and so on.

And the only reason Slash did it anyways, was because the baby refused to let the Myles thing go, when the rest of the band wanted Corey or Scott back.

I don't think that's accurate regarding myles.

Slash himself says that it was Matt who twice tried to recruit Myles into VR. So I don't think it's a case of no-one but slash wanting him and slash  going home.

But I do agree there's clearly some issues or both slash albums would have been done as VR records.

It does seem that maybe Slash was the one who didn't like Corey.

I think with Slash doing this solo stuff, there's a chance for VR to regroup as Slash's "side project". If he gets his classic riff stuff out doing his own shows...then with VR he can go back to scots "minimal guitar solo" type songs without feeling frustrated.

Would be great for fans too. Like for me - VR made some great songs that I loved...but I always had that "slash is wasted" feel. But this way he can output stuff like Anastasia where he's kicking old school ass...but also add value to these mod rock songs.

Says the Slashite.

People have speculated on this stuff for years, and you cats do this shit to Axl all of the time... don't act like Slash isn't immune. There is an obvious hidden reason as to why VR died, and Scott Weiland ain't it.

I highly doubt the Taime Downe-knockoff in Adler's band (all due respect, seriously), is gonna run down fucking SLASH, who just played on his record.

Don't see that as a real credible source, no different than Axl who obviously has an "Ax" to grind with Slash, and is biased.
