Re: Your Tweets Can Be Subpoenaed

Haha nice. I actually try not to tweet when drinking anymore. I've woken up to some really mean and stupid things I've tweeted when drinking before.
I have tried to think twice before instantly posting while high, only because I would send out like 20 ridiculous tweets that seemed super funny while high... only to wake up to friends being like "wtf were you thinking?!"
Being high really does bring out the better tweets in me overall though . It IS easy to tweet something mean in a altered state of mind though...

I tweet, but it's really only about the Bills and Sabres or other sports happenings.

As you can see i've majorly fallen off on Twitter and rarely use it anymore (kinda knew that'd happen).
There's literally nothing to do on there, and I had a falling out with a friend, so i've cut way back on it.
But an interesting that comes up. What if me and the friend start shooting on each other on Twitter? Real nasty stuff?
Well here's the thing, as far as i'm concerned -- it should be allowed to be subpoenaed. It's a public forum, with public statements, AND is a form of media, thus = LIBEL.
I don't see any real stretch to prove that, and i'm just some guy who took a few law classes as electives and it makes sense to me.
Thus my conclusion...
DON'T TALK SHIT ON TWITTER. Especially if you're not a public figure and can easily be sued for libel.
I tweet regularly but it's mostly life observations or stuff about music (anyone who follows me has seen that). But I just had a bit of a family issue over Twitter because of insulting.
My sister has four daughters; the eldest girl, a set of twin girls and a youngest girl. My eldest and youngest nieces are two of the nastiest people you'll ever meet, WAY worse than the average 18-30 woman IMO. They have everything and everyone, nothing is good enough, everyone else is stupid, etc etc. Usually I don't mind except that the oldest (almost 30) fell on some hard times and moved back home. Soon after she moved home, she started tweeting nasty, vile things about my sister all of the time.
After about a week of it I thought "You know what? I wouldn't follow a total stranger who talks like this about my sister, why would I follow her daughter doing so?" so I un-followed her. That caused all sorts of drama in my family with the eldest niece now including myself and Stacey in her tweets.
Such a shame. You and Stacey both are good people who have been good to me, even if just in GN'R communication and Twitter, and do not deserve any kind of shit, at least just based on 'un-following' someone.
But unfortunately my friend, it's that gray world we live in now with Facebook & Twitter.
Even un-following a family member based on them being an ASSHOLE both publicly and privately can set forth a HUGE fallout over nothing other than un-following. I've heard of verbal attacks, physical attacks, and even death in certain cases. And yes i'm serious.
Me for example, i'm totally fuckin' screwed. My cousins basically have never had ANYTHING to do with me. They are bitches, raised by cunt mothers, and that's that. BUT we do see each other once a year as a mini-family reunion Christmas get-together that has been the norm since I was born.
So on some level we are still considered "family". Now in THEIR minds (Duff would call it "their truth") they have reached out to me for us to be "family". In reality they've never done that. I guess i'm the Axl in this case, but they've never reached out to me, never called me, never invited me, never tried to make me part of the clique.
I don't use Facebook as you know. They, in their minds, look at it as all of their information for get-togethers are posted to their 'friends' on Facebook. So because i'm NOT on Facebook, and because I have NOT followed them on Facebook, it is MY fault i'm not apart of the family and i've been an asshole to THEM, because I don't get on Facebook to purposely follow them. It's my fault, and fuck me.
Yes, i'm being serious. "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" as the main man said recently. And the same thing with you. If you listen to this bitch niece of yours, she trashes your sister (whom you might actually love), but if you un-follow the little bitch, your the asshole for not putting up with her constantly shooting on your sister. NOW, she's gonna publicly run you down and your fiance because you un-followed her. This generation is so full of narcissists. I'd sue her ass for defamation.
Anyways, it's unreal these days man. Sorry to you and Stace.
