Interesting take, it wouldn't be the first time Roger & Brian disagreed over what direction to take Queen in.

Another issue could be Roger was closer to Freddie than Brian, and there's personal issues involved.

Then again, Roger could've just wanted to not spoil the surprise until all the plans were firmly in place. Brian himself said they wanted to do it as a surprise and didn't want to do it until they could get it absolutely right, i'm assumingly to pay tribute to Freddie.

I see. Sounds both strange and interesting. Hoping there isn't any backlash from fans or the Queen camp/alumni especially from John after this happens. I'm hoping Roger is completely okay with this even with the press and the fans wanting this to happen even if it's such for a musical. This could be a good prototype testing for a full scale experience in the near future.

If you anyone on this forum wants to discuss anything more about Queen, feel free to come to this thread and post. Love to hear your opinions.

I think we've actually got a Queen Discussion thread here.

I just posted it in here, because we had already talked about it and Roger's interview had been posted.

I voted no. And I agree with Bono on this totally, technology is very cool. Morality of it is weird.

Hendrix sprang to mind. What most of us would give to have seen him perform live, but it just feels odd to me, I cant quite explain it.

What if they did Hendrix and had him doing stuff or exaggerating stuff he didnt actually do, becomes inaccurate so to speak?

Reminds me of Madame Tussauds with all the wax works in London in a way, thats a bit freaky too.

maybe Axl should do it of himself since so many people on this board pine for 1989!

You being one of them cause let's be honest it's not the year we're pinning for it's the voice.  If we could have Axl's voice of 1989 everyone on this board minus Ali would want that. Still doesn't make these hologram performances my cup of tea though. I wouldn't pay to see it.  I think it's just weird and it takes way from what was once so great. It gives kids today a "real" sense of what it was like? Bullshit. It cheapens the performers legacy in my opinion.

Seriously?

It's clearly a cash grab gimmick. Is the state of the Music Industry that bad?
Instead of championing new good music, we resort to this shit?

It's a super expensive fucking Chuck E Cheese light show... and now you're gonna involve the KING?

It's a sad world we live in these days...
