Re: RRHoF Discussion (Izzy/Slash/Axl Press Statements)
killingvector wrote:Duff and Axl spoke. There is a great chance that Duff apologized for participating. Perhaps they were Slash driven suits.
This above is also a big assumption.
killingvector wrote:I argue that these suits are one of the most significant obstacles to a reconciliation b/c they threatened to soil Axl's reputation and take his livelihood.
Probably, but this is also an assumption.
killingvector wrote:I really don't know b/c none of us were privy to the conversation.
I agree with you that none of really know the facts, so these assumptions are just that.
.
I think those are not big, but rather very reasonable assumptions.
Re: RRHoF Discussion (Izzy/Slash/Axl Press Statements)
As I said in the title of the other thread I made...I think I'm done. This may be the final straw for me when it comes to Axl. On another note though..I would pay to be a fly on the wall in any former members house when they found out.
Re: RRHoF Discussion (Izzy/Slash/Axl Press Statements)
Hope everyone can now just realize this @gunsnroses reunion stuff just not happening & embrace what the members are doing now! All good!!
Eddie Trunk Via Twitter
Just because people wanted to see the original lineup get up together and accept the award doesn't necessarily mean you don't embrace the current lineup.
Dumb comment. Tho I'm not surprised with Trunk, he seems to smoke Axls bat these days. That last hard hitting interview he did with him for example he really grilled him
Re: RRHoF Discussion (Izzy/Slash/Axl Press Statements)
well ok, why did axl not "stand up to the hall" when he inducted elton or sang w/the boss??
what a load of shit
@ the start i said im no fan of the rnrhof, but you don't cry about it 3 days prior to the event. if you're not going & have reasons why then not come out w/it from the fucking get go.
dont use it as a convenient excuse when you didn't get your way.
Re: RRHoF Discussion (Izzy/Slash/Axl Press Statements)
Eddie's issue with the hall is legit; nobody is arguing that. That doesn't mean the GnR fans aren't getting screwed in this instance. So what that fans of other bands are being robbed of the opportunity to be screwed by the HoF? What does that have to do with what is happening to GnR fans right now?
If Axl was doing this to get at the HoF (and he had made the statement immediately after being niominated), this point might carry some weight. Since Axl's doing it to get at Slash, Matt, and whoever else in his mind hurt him (and the fans too as collateral damage), the post is just Eddie using another circumstance to push his agenda.

I think you'd be disappointed. I think they all knew at the same time most of us knew it wasn't going to happen. We were just foolish enough to hold out some hope.

It was about someone else, it was for Elton. He even says basically back then during the speech at the show he never thought much of the Hall Of Fame.
He was just honored to be honoring his idol.
