Re: RRHoF Discussion (Izzy/Slash/Axl Press Statements)
ive said it for years.
Axl thought Slash would be NOTHING without him and come crawling/begging back... and Slah went on to have a better career than Axl and that is why Axl hates Slash.
Bob thought Victoria would be NOTHING without him and come crawling/begging back... and Victoria went on to find a better husband than Bob and that is why Bob hates Victoria.
Jesus fucking Christ man...
What the fuck is this, Jersey Shore????
Re: RRHoF Discussion (Izzy/Slash/Axl Press Statements)
and shits all over Bono and The Edge as well....
They also dedicate All Because of You to The Who. At their free concert Under the Brooklyn Bridge Bono introduces the song as "A love song to The Who"
Re: RRHoF Discussion (Izzy/Slash/Axl Press Statements)
You note that none of Axl's people have ever put it out there either. Why? Because there is nothing to tell. It would have been used by them as a weapon to batter down Slash's high approval rating by the public long before now.
Good point.
I've always felt the answer is deceptively simple.
First, Axl and Slash gradually grew apart over the years leading to their breakup.
Eventually, Axl found himself as the sole founding member with an album to complete.
He spent years on end working on the album and eating up the negative press with him as the Evil One.
Many people denounced his Slash-less GNR from the get-go. The record company was concerned as to whether he could deliver without Slash.
In that sense, one can see Slash as a metaphorical cancer, his shadow looming over each and every professional venture Axl undertakes.
I know, Axl makes it personal. Makes everything harder.

D, this is what Axl wanted. Don't feel bad for him for one second.
