Listened to Sorry in the car today and thought it was a kick ass version.
I must need to re-listen to it.
Because when I heard it live, it was Rio IV-worthy.
Sorry I listened to Sorry again, and it sounds weak on Axl's part. Too much 2002, too much pitchiness (even if you like the clean vocal like Ali does), and i've just... i've heard MUCH MUCH better.
It's a weak performance, and nothing close to "the best, or one of the best".
Tokyo 2009 alone blows it the fuck out of the water.
People were complaining about Dizzy's piano playing during Estranged on htgth. Sounded ace to me, are they hearing something I'm not?
The only thing I can hear (and I remembered this from the live show), is that Dizzy's piano seems to be further down in the mix with Franks drums, and the various guitars (specifically Ron's) MUCH higher than normal.
So at times you kinda struggle to hear Dizzy's piano.
But he didn't fuck anything up. Sounds SPOT ON to me. And I would know, it's my FAVORITE part of Estranged.

Just my quick thoughts on the show iv watched over 20 times smashed and stone and straight over the last few days. The first thing i noticed was franks drummer in Mr Brownstone onward hes got a great groove my favour gnr drummer. My favours songs Shackler's Revenge i thought the whole band did a good job of this axl kicked arse and axl sound good on the first half of dont cry until the high part. I think axl has slowed down a lot since 2006 doesnt seem to move around as much but he is 50 ill be lucky to get of the lounge at that age. And they need to fuck of the piano in nightrain arent i big fan of tommys bass playing he fucks up a bit at this show anyway

I completely agree.
I breezed over it again, and stand by my original assessment.
Other than Civil War, Shackler's Revenge was the performance of the night, and is CD-worthy. They should throw that in as a bonus on the next album. A REALLY strong performance.
