Re: Snow White & The Huntsman
You know Axlin, I could picture that concept in full detail. The lady needs to get her acting chops improved. Hopefully this movie doesn't suck.

Re: Snow White & The Huntsman
A friend of mine saw the trailer for this today, and said the exact same thing as Bono.
"Looks awesome, Kristen Stewart looks totally out of place".
Says a lot that the TV ads focus on Charlize Theron even though Kristen Stewart is the title character in the film.

Re: Snow White & The Huntsman
A movie I thought Stewart did pretty good was the Runaways and that's about it.
Re: Snow White & The Huntsman
The only movie that Stewart ever did good in was "Panic Room". I was in high school, thought she was cute in a grunge sort of way, and she seemed like she could actually be Jodie Foster's kid.
Other than that, it's been all downhill since.
Re: Snow White & The Huntsman
Well I saw it and I liked it a lot. As did my brother and his wife. All 3 of us gave it an 8/10
For those who don't like fantasy you probably won't like this. It is a fantasy/midieval times movie. It is slightly slower paced which is to be expected with these types of movies but to be honest I felt it was also slightly rushed. In my opinion it could've easily been made into a 2 part movie. Visually it was pretty awesome. The story was pretty cool I thought but again I felt it was slightly rushed. I'd have liked more down time and more dialogue between the main characters especially between the dwarfs, Snow White and the Huntsman. Also maybe a bit more backstory on the evil Queen, although you do get the jist of it.
Surprises:
Charlize Theron was not in it as much as I anticipated based on the promotion. She was in it a lot but not quite the driving force of the movie I thought she'd be. Also to be honest she was not as good in the role of the evil Queen as I thought she'd be. She was good no doubt but overall she seemd a very fragile evil Queen. Maybe that was the point. She was definitely evil but something was missing from the performance.
Kristen Stewart although not oscar worthy by any means surprised me. She was actually really good as Snow White and although she didn't stretch he acting chops too much she fit the part and I must say however it happend I found her quite attractive in this movie. Maybe it was her vulnerablility? I don't know either way she did well.
Aside from one scene the character of William I found to be quite pointless.
Anyways I'd reccomend this. Maybe not quite as good as I hoped it would be but really good nonetheless. Based on my tastes in movies I liked it better than The Avengers. I didn't find myself rolling my eyes at any long drawn out ridiculous action scenes because there was none so......
Re: Snow White & The Huntsman
yeah like for me I thought with the evilness of the Queen so much more could've taken place in this movie. More developement between the relationships of the characters. That's where I felt it was rushed. Everything happend rather quickly in that sense and as the viewer we were left to just assume time had passed. I'd have liked more back story as to why Snow White was so fair and had this influence over nature and wildlife.
I feel it could've easily been two movies and done incredibly well.
Do you think there will be another one Russ?
I thought the scene in the forest when she bit the apple looked amazing.
