I know you don't like to accept it, but the concert reviews, CD reviews and the over all acceptance of this line up around the world says otherwise.
CD is a good album IMHO, but it's not a Guns N' Roses album. As far as the concert reviews, many of them make backhanded compliments about Axl's tribute band. "They play the songs really well, but..."

But see, you saying it's not a GN'R album is just your opinion. And the concert reviews have been stellar. They are going to get grief, if not only because of Axl's failure to promote this band as GN'R or give it a proper face, but people and critics are accepting it as GN'R.
And it is Axl's band, you know, he founded it, never quit, never did a solo album... That's always struck me as strange when people demand a guy do whatever with his band, that they were never a part of.

Sure it does. They have been selling out venues, have had crowds pushing, what, 30,000 at shows around the world....

I will say this they are in a real dilema here because Axl is sounding better than he has since the Illusion days and Slash is playing better than he ever has period. You can't fake chemistry and you can't hide it. When it's there it's there so if you get the original lineup on stage for the world to see and they perform together holy shit is the new band ever in a pickle and I'm not kidding. In my opinion given how hot Axl and Slash are right now and given how cool Duff and Izzy have always been you get them on stage together to perform and you will catch lightening in a bottle again and it's gonna be something that clearly isn't there with the new band as amazing as they are.

um......maybe they are at their best right now as individuals because they are apart.
and being on top of their games doesnt mean the chemistry is going to be great if combined. where did that assumption come from?
two great forces playing side by side is simply that.
one plus the other doesnt automatically equal double the greatness.
noone knows what kind of chemistry they would have at this stage in their lives.
they should be mature enough to play one show together never the less.
a second show would probably come down more to fate or chance.
the first show would probably be filled with a lot of nerves
lightning would have to strike later when the mokey is off their backs and if the right oppurtunity presented itself.

They've had half-full arenas in the States. 20,000 seaters with 10,000 or fewer actually showing up. And that's with discounted ticket prices in a lot of cases. Last night they had 5,000 for a show and had to do a GroupOn deal to convince people to buy tickets.

Tej, the tour is going good. Around the world they are crazy successful. And people are accepting it as GN'R.
