The Hall of fame is a bad idea for this year.  I agree with Duff.  Give it another 10 years.  If Axl wants this NuGNR to work he won't do the Hall.  Not this year.

Why? I wouldn't want to wait until they're all hitting 60 to see something happen. Let's bury the hatchet now.

I'll explain why.  And my explanation doesn't prevent a reconcilliation between all of them.  But say GNR is going in the Hall, and the original lineup do indeed perform.  Do you really think people will wanna hear or see Axl's version of GNR?  Hell no!  They'll beg for a reunion and fast.  And not only a tour but an album as well.  And while I could see Axl agreeing to a one night thing, him agreeing to a full fledged reunion.  I don't think so.  He'll probably wanna continue this thing with Nu GNR now that he seems ready to make this work.  And it'll be impossible to make it work after a performance of the original lineup.  That's why.  So I say let Axl do this thing now that he seems into it and see if it fails or succeed and have that induction in 10 years.  And who knows maybe sooner.

You know Slash didn't invent top hats and cigarettes, right? Ever heard of Marc Bolan?

I don't even like Ashba, but I tire of seeing this said.

Well, you know BH didn't invent raincoats and masks or KFC bucket hats...

Well, he didn't invent KFC.  Ever hear of Col. Sanders?

The perfect move and if I were Axl, this is the move I'd push for, would be to get all of GNR up on that stage.

Axl Slash Duff Bumblefoot Dj Adler Fortus Matt Izzy, fuck even buckethead if possible.

A big cluster-fuck of GNR old and new.

For one thing it'd be quite a spectacle.
It'd also be like all the old guys giving their blessing.

Izzy's already played with nuGNR as has Duff, Adler will do anything for a free rock and Sorum would turn up for the price of 3 pert young virgins, plus Sorum n Axl n adler n Axl have all met and been cool with each other in the past 5 years. Gilby played with Axl back in 01

Really it would all come down to Slash.

I'd be happy with that, GnR old n new all up on that stage together. For the performance, you could play Jungle with the originals, Don't cry with the 93 lineup and Better with Bucket and fink, then MAYBE bust out a new track with DJ n Ron..... Be fukin perfect.

That's my wet dream right there.

Might get this shit:

I think burying the hatchet and giving the fans that closure/farewell would only HELP Axl's new band.

People would feel good about moving on cause their would be resolution.

Huge difference.  Slash might have taken influence from T-Rex's style & look, but DJ Ashba replaced Slash & blatantly uses his look for reminiscence.  The bands a joke anyway nowadays & will probably be done by Jan or Feb.  He should have stuck with Sixx AM, at least they did a festival tour over the summer. This GnR's gonna crash & burn playing to 2,000 fans/night when Axl no shows again.

I disagree, and here's why. Like D, it can only help new Guns.

Here's what happens, let's say the Hall only acknowledges 87-93 of Guns.

So they're all up there, and perform a few songs and just do a one-off thing for the night.

This does alot of things that only help new Guns. It basically adds closure to that era of Guns to help people move on. It garners interest in what Axl's doing now and where he's going. It doesn't overall hurt the new band. And at the same time a full-fledged reunion holds it's value for a rainy day.

So Axl could pull the trigger.

Pleases old band fans
Pleases new band fans
Pleases the hall
Pleases purists
Pleases Axlites
Pleases Slashites

It's a win-win all around. And like I said, doesn't hurt the overall value of either band.

Whatever in the hell that means to what he was talking about, other than to be snide.

I do believe he's the first to wear a raincoat, expressionless mask and KFC bucket on his head all at the same time. I could be wrong.

I was teasing.  I consider BH to be many things.  A copycat isn't one of them.

And you know he does this how? He was wearing hats before GNR.

And, did you know GNR is playing to more than 2K people a night?

If you're gonna bash the band, have the decency to use some fucking facts.

Can't believe I'm the one that's got to say this. I don't even come around anymore, but every time I do I see the same old shit.

Also, please, without the top hat, Slash is Joe Perry down to just about every detail. Saul is hardly an original. Everyone uses their influences.
