Re: Vinyl LPs (In general)

Oh nice! I'm thinking about recording some music with some of my friends. Going to learn how to play the guitar sometime soon. I have a cowbell, a web cam with a mic, some synthesizer and keyboard input programs on my Google Chrome apps, and going to purchase some more music stuff and hopefully a ukulele too. My friend is very good at making beats, instrumental tracks, and various remixes using music software, and my other friend is a great vocalist and wants to get into the music industry and also has learned various instruments and music styles. I just want to do it as a hobby with friends when I'm free. We want to do an electronic, experimental kind of music; but I'm hoping I bring in some influences of Pink Floyd, Guns N' Roses, The Beatles,  Genesis into the mix. I also want to make some covers of songs too. Well see what happens. Did you guys do some club gigs in your band? After hearing Arnold Layne on VH1 classic, I started getting into more of the Syd era of things. He was such a great talent. It sounds like a great deal and I will definitely keep it in mind since my birthday is coming up and i'm going to be investing in a whole bunch of stuff.

My UYI I copy arrived yesterday!  Can't wait to give it a spin tonight.

Also have a couple more Beatles albums on the way...one was their rarities album and I don't remember what the other one was.  I'm having a hard time finding good deals on The White Album and Revolver..really almost all of the later albums except for Abbey Road.  Apparently I'm the only one that likes the classics as much as the more experimental albums.

I have the anthology set - I think I bought them on Amazon used.  I want to say I didn't pay more than $25 for any of them, but I'd have to go back and look...I'll do that for you tonight.

UYI II is awesome on vinyl, so I imagine I will be as well.

I paid $108 total for the three of them including tax and shipping.  Well worth it...each is 3 albums loaded with songs.
