i dunno barring it wasnt workign for me thats why i relearned it a different way

btw i also learned the first KOHD solo last night wink

That's one of the first GN'R solos I learned too, and it's a fun one to play huh!

BTW, all the talk of playing the SCOM riff with your pinky finger, I don't believe Slash plays it using his pinky finger. And I too actually find it easier to play without using my pinky.

So, I think they'll pull off the US tour without a hitch. Gnr is certainly a much more professional operation these days and other than the occasional fuck up axl seems to be more focussed.

The sad thing though is what happens after. I have a horrible feeling Axl will think he's done a really hard job and deserves a 2 year break. Another period of silence?

I wouldn't mind the silence so much if they hammered out another album during that time.  But that remains to be seen of course.

I think going into silence is almost a guarantee, unless GN'R has such a great reception from the U.S. crowds that they try to push that re-release CD w/ bonus CD in the Spring of 2012, with another round of U.S. dates to promote it.

That is HIGHLY HIGHLY doubtful.

My guess is they finish up with the U.S. tour in the Spring, maybe earlier (possibly in western Canada), then go dark as Axl keeps an eye on what he RNRHOF is going to do and what GNR's future will be with or without involvement with the HOF induction.

Well assuming axl doesn't retire...I see the most likely next move as 2 years of planning for the next album....with it comming out in 2014...unless it turns out that some of the business negotiations go sour....in which case I'd replace the 2014 album with a european festival tour....then an album once the money from that is used to settle issues....around 2016.

Not saying that to be a dick...just seems that's the probable speed of stuff happening as it seems most events in GNR are around 2 years appart.

So that's kinda the timeline i'm braced for - new material circa 2014-2016.

Sad thing is i'm optimistic...hehe smile

8 years after CD, which was 17 years after UYI is utterly pathetic, especially considering Axl will most likely be mining a vault of trx that have been finished since 2001 (13-16 years from that point).

Jesus Christ... roll
