neemo - i was disappointed to see people taking cheap shots at you. in all the message boards i have ever visited, you have always been one of the coolest, fair-minded posters i have seen.
i've expressed my views about this board before. while its great that you can say anything, a number of posters just turn it into very boring board. and to see people giving you (of all people) shit for your opinions, well, it kinda solidified my opinion of this place. and it sure seemed contradictory to what this board represents itself as.
I agree with a lot of what Sandman says. Actually ALL of it.
Neemo, there is something wrong when you feel like you have to make a post like this to defend yourself for merely having a respectful, differing opinion from the majority. That is just plain fucked up.

I used the suckle at the teat line, and it clearly wasnt about you, neither could it be mistaken to be about you... so dunno how you came to that conclusion.
Yep I said I'm bored of watching these fan uploads, so what? I also said I'd love an official dvd or something, but really dunno how I feel at the moment can spoil anyone elses good time.
Like I said in my last post in the Chile thread yesterday, I've said my bit and thats that, I'm done with the subject - I wont be banging on and on in every thread shoving my opinion - that I'm bored with this or that - down everyones throat for the next 2 years or whatever.
I have a point of view, changes from time to time, and if its GNR related quite often I'll bring it up in a discussion on my favourite GNR forum, sometimes I wont bother. Some people might agree with me, some wont, some couldnt care less... thats just the way it goes, you've been around this shit forever, you know fine well how it works.
I thought there was good discussions going on this last week or so, there was lots of differing opinions, lots of contributers and it all seemed flow along well enough. If you had any problem with anyones language towards you then you should have called them out on it there and then, this wide vague sweeping statement you've just made about "you guys" is fuckin BS. All the text is still there if you want to take umbridge with any of it, but take your issues out those people specifically. I've got no problem with anything I've said, anyone wants to call me on any of it, go ahead I'm a big boy and I'm sure I can take as good as I give. But I sure as hell dont want to be thrown into some vague rogues gallery of GNREvo detractors.
I said the discussion was good, and it was mostly, but late last night or this morning (or even before I suppose) there seemed to be a hell of a lot of mudslinging going on. Personally I found some of it was well out of order, and had to wonder, where the fucks the mods? Aint it in the "Matra" that the only rule is to be respectful of one another? If people were breaking that rule towards you or anyone else recently, then why wernt you or any of your staff here stepping up and nipping it in the bud?
And what the hells the problem about talking about expectations or disapointments or whatever about this band, seems like a GNR forum would be the best place to bring it up, rather than getting "a fucking grip". Especially for an obsessive lot like us, if people wernt as obsessive about GNR these forums wouldnt exist. Funny you think us obsessive lot make you feel like like nothing more than a passing fan... I'm really suprised at that, seeing as it was the same obsessive lot that clubbed together to pay for a ticket for you so you didnt miss out when GNR were touring in Canada. Pretty sure much of the same conversations were taking place then on GNREvo about our hopes and disapointments regarding GNR , and they were going on long before that, immediately after and continuing on up until today.
Personally I though thats what made this place great, the open discussions - I came here from HTGTH where I was sick fed up of discussions being tampered with or nuked altogether if they werent mindlessly glorifying anything to do with the current GNR, seeing how well it worked here without anyone marshalling the discussions was a big eye opener and a refreshing change.
But looking at it now mabye things have became too lax, especially if yourself and others feel like they are "taking shit" from other members, but again personally I think thats an issue the staff should be dealing with immediately and directly with those involved.

What pisses people off Neemo is there are those of us who can express our opinion WITHOUT caping it off with "oh but the usual suspects will find something to complain about" Fuck that shit. That's all you and Russ and Naltav and others do. You express your so called positive view and then go on to take backhanded pot shots and random people. That's what starts all this shit. If you guys could simply say you like this or that without having to toss in "oh but certain people on this board will find something negative to say" You guys can't see what others say in an objective manner because your mind is already made up about what people are gonna say. For example Naltav conveniently ignoring the fact I was one of the few who defended Axl for his weight gain but he had to zone in on my comments about not liking his hats. Typical "psoitive member" finding the "negative". 
Some of you guys need to get off your high horse . You people on this board who claim to have this positive outlook on life sure do focus alot on your time on what you percieve as negative. When you start calling people out before they've even made a comment of cousre people are gonna tell you to fuck off. And when 90% of the board aknowledegd the fact the RIO show was pretty much a disater from what we saw via the live stream and then a few come in and start saying the show ruled or they were on fire well then come on. What do you expect epople to think/say. You can't have long time supporters admiting the show was pretty much a train wreck and then have a select few saying the show was great a nd the rest of us are just looking for things to complain about.
I was a person who said Axl sounded incredible in 2009 and bought tickets to see them in 2010 because of it. Nobody had an issue with me saying that. But the second I say he sounded like shit in Rio and that could impact ticket sales the peoplewith "positive outlooks" jump down mine and others throats for being a bunch of dooms dayers.
I'm not even kidding some of you act so butt hurt whenever something is said that doesnt' glorify the band. I dont' even know what to think anymore.
And to seperate yourself as a normal fan Neemo while the rest of us are obsessive fans is pretty lame.

Neemo got a lot of shit for saying he liked the concert and thought it was good. He wasn't attacking anyone. People were saying his opinion was wrong and he must be deaf. And he never said the performance was great. NEVER. He pointed out the weak points. Over exaggerating once again.
I've never heard Neemo or Russ use the "usual suspects" thing unless people are brining up mindless bullshit just to start an argument.
I said there were some over reactions about Rio, like people saying Axl would never perform again because it was so bad, and Axlin gave me negative karma because that "crossed the line." Heh? Just for that. Very ironic about over reacting.
We all know we can be more respectful around here. No need to tell people to STFU, call them losers, or shit like that. If you can't handle their opinions, ignore them. And I sure as hell know a lot of you hate being labled trolls, but you turn around and accuse others of it.
Sorry, but Ali got ganged up on by those "usual suspects" last night, thread was hijacked, again. And he wasn't saying anything awful. D actually started arguing in the Chile thread about something that happened some other day on some other forum. All because he was LOOKING to argue and start shit. Ridiculous.
Neemo is pretty damn level headed. And yeah, I do think someone should have put their foot down much, much sooner last night about the insults and thread hijacking. But I've never seen Neemo try to discredit any regular posters opinion here, because he disagreed with him. Even though I've annoyed him sometimes with some of my Ron posts 
No need for the mudslinging, like Olorin said.

I dunno where you are all taking my post as a pot shot...
the only post that really pissed me off was Axlin's and i responded in kind...then edited out the really bad parts, i think axlin read it though but whatever his post made me real mad
anyway nothing in my first post isnt meant as a pot shot to anybody, olorin the orig post as i started it was in response you your lack of interest with watching fan vids these days...and it was that i agree with you, but i was over watchign that kinda stuff years ago...now you seem to be in the same boat as me now in that regard...it meant nothing more than that...like a welcome to the club sort of post... then i started venting and it sprawled into something else...a more over arking type of post ... i have no qualms with anyone...especially u olorin ...you've aklways seemed to be a really cool guy...so if i offended i'm sorry..i never meant to cause offense to you..in fact i think i actually commended you in my post saying that you are more of a fan than me in my eyes cuz i havent really had an interest to follow online fan shot vids...like ever, so to me that says to me that you are more dedicated than i...

but i never said i was a "normal fan" ... i know way too much about this band and spend way too much time on this board to be even considered healthy..i just dont download or watch/listen to boots near as much as some of you claim...fuck first thing i do every morning is log on and if there was a show the night before i track down the setllist...and post it...hardly "normal fan" beahviour
